The key reason why I Write The Book 'Stop Preaching God's Love'?

The Root Problem In The Church Today

My spirit is, and has been troubled concerning the state of the Church during the last thirty years or so, and how horribly we have acquired all kinds of traditions of men. These also, are beliefs that invalidate Scripture as Jesus reprimanded the Pharisees for. I have been feeling compelled by God to write and expose what I believe to be the chief or fundamental cause that makes it possible for us to develop these unscriptural traditions.

However, when I have talked over these issues with pastors and Christians, while they concur that we now have a sugar-coated gospel message, they just are not able to see the extremity of the problem. It rattles their foundational beliefs way too much. I had to author a data based work, with a lot of facts and figures proving what I am trying to convey.

Over my many years, I have not read the works of various recognized Christian writers. I study the Scriptures in many versions and I have put together a great resource library of Bible dictionaries, Greek & Hebrew dictionaries, commentaries and numerous additional publications.

But roughly 4 years ago in the middle of a personal crisis, I required Christian encouragement and extended my business Facebook profile to family and friends. I built up roughly a hundred family and friends plus friends of friends. It was a wonderful support group, however, I noticed people who thought like I did. I was surprised. There were memes from popular Christian writers and pastors, that I recognized, but had not read any of their works. These were so confirmational for me, so I have sited many in this book.

My essential argument is that, Christians have talked, proclaimed, read, written, taught and preached, way too much on how 'God loves us soooo much and has a wonderful plan for our life.

This has then pushed other key qualities of God, into the fringes - God as the Judge, the lake of fire, conquering sin, obedience, endurance, how very evil sin is, how essential holiness is, etc....... and it has caused us to comprehend the Bible erroneously in a host of ways. People have created mistaken teachings that guide our life and our churches. Matters such as, judge not anybody; never correct sinfulness; unity no matter what; anybody who affirms anything that might offend someone is not 'being like Jesus'........etc.
