The Root Problem In The Church Today

My heart is, and has been troubled concerning the condition of the Church over the past 3 decades or so, and how badly we have taken on all sorts of traditions of men. These also, are traditions that invalidate The bible as The lord jesus reprimanded the Pharisees for. I have been feeling burdened by God to write a book and uncover what I believe to be the key or foundational cause that allows us to develop these unbiblical traditions.

Yet when I have talked about these things with pastors and Believers, even though they acknowledge we do indeed carry a sugar-coated message of Christ, they simply are not able to see the deepness of the problem. It jeopardizes their foundational beliefs way too much. I had to author a data based treatise, with much facts and figures demonstrating what I am trying to communicate.

Over the many years, I have not read through the various publications of the popular Christian authors. I read the Scriptures in different translations and I have developed a good resource library of textbooks and numerous additional publications.

However, about 4 years ago in the midst of a personal crisis, I needed Christian support and opened my business Facebook page to Christian friends. I obtained about a hundred Christian friends in addition to family and friends of friends. It was a good support network, but more than that, I discovered Christians who also believed like me. I was astonished. There were quotes of prominent Christian authors and preachers, that I knew of, but had not read through any of their publications. These were so confirmational for me, so I have included a lot of them in this work.

My essential proposition is that, we have proclaimed, written, read, talked, taught and preached, way too much about how 'God loves us soooo much and has a wonderful plan for our life.

This has then relegated other key qualities of God, to the background - God's justice, hades, overcoming sin, completesubmission to God, endurance, how terribly evil sin is, how imperative purity is, etc...... and it has resulted us to perceive the Bible foolishly in a host of ways. The church have developed bad teachings that guide our life and our churches. Matters like, judge not anyone; never expose sinfulness; unity no matter what; anyone who says anything that can upset somebody is not being 'loving'.......etc.
