'Stop Preaching God's Love, For Heaven's Sake' Is A Work Contending with The Christians In this age
The Root Problem In The Church Today
My spirit is, and has been troubled about the condition of the Church over the past thirty years or so, and how horribly we have taken on a range of traditions of men. These also, are traditions that invalidate Scripture as The lord jesus criticized the Pharisees for. I have been feeling burdened by God to write and expose what I believe to be the central or root cause that allows us to construct these unscriptural traditions.
Though when I have talked about these issues with church leaders and Christians, whilst they acknowledge that we now have a candie-coated gospel message, they just are not able to perceive the profoundness of the problem. It disturbs their norms way too much. I wanted to author a fact based work, with a lot of statistics proving what I am trying to present.
Throughout my many years, I have not read through many books of the popular Christian authors. I study the Scriptures in different versions and I have built up a very good reference library of textbooks and various other works.
However, about four years ago in the midst of a personal tragedy, I needed Spiritual support and opened my business Facebook page to family and friends. I obtained about a hundred family and friends and friends of friends. It was a useful support arrangement, but, I noticed believers who thought like I did. I was impressed. There were memes from notable Christian writers and pastors, that I knew of, but had not read through any of their books. These were so confirming for me, so I have placed many in this book.
'Stop Preaching God's Love, For Heaven's Sake'
My central premise is that, the church has preached, proclaimed, taught, written, read and talked way too much on how 'God loves us soooo much and has a wonderful plan for our life'.
This has then sent other important qualities of God, to the background - God as the Judge, hell, conquering sin, completesubmission to God, perseverance, how terribly evil sin is, how essential holiness is, etc...... and it has prompted us to interpret the Scriptures incorrectly in many ways. Believers have developed erroneous doctrines that guide our lifestyles and our churches. Issues such as, never judge anyone; never create conflict over sin; unity without exception; anyone that affirms anything that might offend someone is not a 'good' Christian......etc.
