Our predecessors, Nick Stone Accessories, traded from the late 1970's until late-1989, making a range of leathergoods for the fashion and music trades. I worked for them from early 1988 and, in April 1989, agreed to buy the musical instrument accessories side of the business - at this point Stones Music was born and we continued to supply a wide range of accessories and instruments to the musical instrument industry.
Here's a page from the Nick Stones Accessories catalogue 1988 - the classic GSL5 linkstrap can be seen to the right of the embossed brown leather strap. At this time, the GSL5 had been on sale for about 6 years and we still manufacture it here in the north of England forty years later!
We now send them to customers all over the world.
