Kai are manufactured in the same factory as Baton Rouge ukuleles, so when we saw the first production models in 2018, we already knew we wouldn't have to worry about quality.

Where they do differ is in looks and features.  All Kai models feature a side sound porthole on the upper bout, facing the player to offer "personal monitoring", especially useful if playing with a number of other players

10-series - Mahogany, available in soprano, concert and tenor sizes

20-series - Pacific Walnut, available in soprano, concert and tenor sizes

30-series - Spalted Mango with solid top, available in concert and tenor sizes (incudes 15mm padded gigbag)

90-series - Flamed Maple with solid top, available in concert and tenor sizes (incudes 15mm padded gigbag)

100-series - Mahogany with solid top, available in concert and tenor sizes (incudes 15mm padded gigbag)

700-series (pictured) - Bocote back and sides with solid Cedar top, available in concert and tenor sizes (incudes 15mm padded gigbag)

5000-series - All-solid Acacia back, sides and top, available in concert and tenor sizes (incudes 15mm padded gigbag)
