rECOtimber, is a patented process developed by Baton Rouge in collaboration with the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development. It is a scientifically reliable method of thermally processing tonewoods that not only allows us to do without tropical woods, but also outshines them in terms of sound.

2023 saw the launch rECOtimber ukuleles, utilising the thermally-processed timber, and our first shipment sold out very quickly.  Because Baton Rouge's parent company, Reinhardt Gmbh, buy individual trees as part of the process, we occasionally experience supply interruptions but we do our best to keep most models in stock.
