Isle of Man Bike Ride 2008

Post date: Oct 24, 2010 11:29:51 AM

Back in July 2008 my son, Josh, and I completed a sponsored bike ride around the forty-mile TT circuit on the Isle of Man.

We were riding to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care and Marie Curie because of the fantastic support they had been to our family while my father, Harry, was being cared for at home while suffering from a terminal brain tumour.

Sadly, Dad died in September 2008 - however, it's never too late to make a donation because the charities I mentioned rely so much on this kind of support. If you'd like to show your support for our ride you can contact me on 07850 196369 or email me via this site.

The picture shows Josh and myself at the end of the ride, during which we endured wind, fog and torrential rain, not to mention the horrendous "mountain route", which had been described to me as "a bit of a hill"! (actually I did say NOT to mention it).

Thanks

Mark & Josh

P.S. Harry Pugh, my father, worked as a journalist from the early 50's right through until the beginning of this century - if you're interested in his story, check out this link
