Mass/Picnic Events
Another great picnic!
Our 2024 picnic which was held this past Sunday, August 25 was yet again a success. There were approximately 150 people in attendance and we're happy to say that the weather cooperated. The cleanup crew did a fantastic job on Saturday... like a well-oiled machine, everyone had their job to accomplish; whether it was clearing out the cobwebs, washing floors, cleaning pews, patching holes and decorating...the job got done. And let's not forget André Collette who takes care of the church grounds and the cemetery. Great job!
Thank you so much to Deacon Gilles Urquhart who presided over our 'bilingual' celebration. We were also blessed to have Marie Nayet as our musician and singer. Wow...what a beautiful voice! Our cross bearers, Gisèle and Allan Labossière started off the celebration by walking up with the cross. It was only fitting to have them for this task as they were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary and were married in Ste. Elizabeth. Please take the time to look through the online pictures by following this link. Thank you for your participation. It's because of you that this event is a success.

2023 Mass\Picnic was a success!
Thank you to all those who participated in this year's event, whether you attended the mass and/or the picnic, we were happy to see everyone...especially after 3 years of not being able to hold it. Father Armand Legal of Holy Family Parish in Winnipeg wore many hats. Not only did he officiate the mass but he was also the musician and lead singer! The choir, which was in fact everyone in attendance, was simply inspirational. Hope to see you again next year. Please take the time to look at the pictures of this event.

**********
Posted on Facebook, July 17th - Just to update friends and past parishioners, last weekend the Historical Committe got together in Ste. Elizabeth for a long, overdue meeting to discuss the present and future of our ongoing relationship with Ste. Liz. After the meeting, we rolled up our sleeves and got busy (some on clean up duty while others patched up and replaced damaged walls due to roof leaking prior to roof repairs.
Every year (with the exception of 2020, 21 & 22) we usually send out an email advising everyone regarding the Annual Mass/Picnic. But because of unforseen circumstances, the organization of this event his been on the back burner. (Committee members fulfulling their bucket list items, other members tending to their loved ones, or just being busy with grandchildren and every day activities.)
The committe is back in action! This is short notice but, we are planning on having this event. It will either be on August 20th or on the 27th. We are simply waiting to secure a priest or deacon. As soon as we have more information, we will send it out. We are aware that a lot of you may have already scheduled other activities but for those that haven't....we would really love to see you in Ste. Elizabeth....soon. Thank you! More info to come. Please share this with friends and family.
Mass\Picnic Cancelled from 2020 - 2022
Due to Covid-19, no mass and picnic were held from 2020 - 2022.
2019 Annual Mass and Picnic
This year, the mass and picnic in Ste-Elizabeth which took place on Sunday, August 25th was a success despite the weather. Father Armand Le Gal and singer, Jeannine Guyot, delivered a very inspirational mass, with the voice of God in the background. Wow...very moving! As usual, mass was followed by a picnic. Luckily the rain had subsided by then and most people enjoyed their meal outdoors while others chose to eat inside. Thanks to everyone who participated and attended this yearly event. Our ancestors would be very proud of us all! Please take the time to look at the pictures in the 2019 - Picnic Photo Album.
