O-classes means Outboard boats, where engines are outside of the vechicle. Some call O-classes as Open-Classes, where boat hull type is free and also engines can be freely modified in the limited cubature. There are three types of boat hulls mainly in use: hydroplane type, catamarane and runabout.

In smaller classes (O-125 up to O-700) as fuel is used methanol. In bigger classes and in OSY-400 gasoline is used mainly.
