The absolute maestro of the circuits. Most successful power boater ever with 17 World Champion titles, 12 World records. Other source tells that he was World Champion even 18 times. He won F1 World championship 3 times with 16 race wins. In O-Unlimited class he was best in the World 5 times and in slightly smaller ON class he got 5 World champion titles too. All together he won 37 medals of U.I.M World titled races. Rouen 24-hours race he won 4 times as also Paris 6-hours race. The Embassy/Bristol Grand Prix The Duke of York Trophy he won three times (1971, 1977, 1980). After stopping racing in F1 he moved to the offshore Class 1. U.I.M. Hall of Fames 2009 together with Billy Seebold from USA.
