Carl G
The Carl Gustav (also Carl-Gustaf, Carl-G, and M2CG) is a 84 mm man-portable reusable multi-role recoilless rifle produced by Saab Bofors Dynamics of Sweden. The first prototype of the Carl Gustaf was produced in 1946, and while similar weapons of the era have generally disappeared, the Carl Gustaf remains in widespread use today and is used in the anti-armour role within the SALH. A new generation of ammunition has given new life to this veteran tank killer and it remains one of the most effective light weight man portable anti-armour systems on the battlefield. Crewman are trained to be exceptionally proficient in tank killing using the Carl-G.
