Neahonn and Galena share firey personalities that match their healing capabilties. Backed up with locke and lilian, both friendly souls, the medical division is a stark contrast between healing power, and combat prowess. The medics of the West tend to be sharper than those of the 13, and arent above putting a blade into a person for slaughter as well as for healing.
Neahonn is Menfir's sister, Galena a fiery diehard nature lover, Lilian a hippy, and Locke a raffish seducer. They are all excellent healers and lead extremely efficiently despite their conflicting personalities. The medical division itself handles medical issues, and supports the rest of the west.

The patrol division, led by the secritive Aoken, Menfir's right hand man, consists of the entirety of the arcana. The largest division of the west, these are all the former members, who spread themselves across the world and seireite to scout, and report back.
Because the life of a patrol member is not condusive to a community rp, these are npcs. This division serves as spies, informants, and similar roles.

The Gotei west has many talented scientists within it. Led by the genius Jessica, and the mechanically endowed Aoura, the two form the basis for a research and development center, constantly tinkering and finding ways to improve the equipment and weapons the Gotei West sports.
The science division serves as research and development, equipment and armory maintenance and construction, as well as other supporting roles within the west.

In addition to weapons and technology, the gotei west uses a variety of forbidden powers and techniques to accomplish their ends. Carrow, an expert demonologist, and Macarisil, a kido expert in his own right, and a quick study, lead this research and tactical division, aimed towards finding out opponents and techiques for the West to use. Currently, with the demon crisis, that seems to be where studies are going, but who knows what else these strange men will devise?

Everyone knows a shinigami institution needs soliders: and thats what this division embodies. Supported by every other division, the combat forces represent the main 'fighting' strength of the west, going to fight hollow, act as security, and just all around being badass Spartans. Led by several incredible fighters of various styles, if you love fighting, this is where you want to be.
The members of this division tend to be trained harder, and have excelence expected of them. Failiure to maintain standards results in a transfer.
Menfir is one of the strongest shinigami in Soul Society, by reputation. He has been compared to Yamamoto on numerous occasions, and, due to his youth, some rank him higher. He is a sly person, but also impossibly strong. He couples his sharp mind with indomitable strength to lead the Gotei West. He is known to be impatient at times, and generous, but not usually kind. He does not believe in the effectiveness of granting others second chances, while accepting that people can consistantly improve. He believes in one's own strength of body, as well as mind; and deems it intelligent to use tools at your disposal, so long as it does not detract from personal power.
The command division serves as leaders, tacticians, politicians, and every other aspect for the West.
The Gotei West not only is a squad that handles external affairs in Europe and in North America, it is a squad specifically made to imprison the most ruthless criminals in soul society, and handle forbidden powers. Each squad has its purpose within the Gotei West, and what follows is a brief blurb on each division which you can use to decide where you might belong.
There are three officer positions in each division: the captain, vice captain/lieutenant, sergeant.

Menfir is the only exception to the title'd rule: He is known as 'The Colonel.' or "Colonel Menfir." His status is as head captain for the entire Gotei West, and his rank was bestowed by the Central 46, indicating he outranks the captains of the Gotei 13 directly.

Members of the first division are elite. They tend to be the cream of the crop, hand picked by Menfir himself for their all around adaptability and abilites. They serve as command in the field, and are jacks of all trades, flexible to any situation. They serve as command for all other squads, and serve as political liasons. They run the gotei west,and its duties.
