Movement in Space Learning the basics
Basic understanding of hydration of soft tissues, calming the nervous system and functional movement in space is essential for healthcare as we travel in life.
We explore the language of the 5 steps of the Melt Method and the various ways to reconnect, glide, sheer, rinse and create friction to stimulate collagen.
Breath and awareness tools and self massage technique with ball and roller will be explored to cover the concepts. We will begin to explore personal compensations and learn how they affect our wellbeing.

As we move through life we adapt to stress in our body by recuring patterns of movement we calll compensations. They can lead to inefficient use of joints and dehydration.
Although they help us push through periods of exhaustion, high intensity work or dramatic or traumatic change in life, they can become a source of disfunction.
The Melt Method teaches two things
1. ways to hydrate tissue to make the body available to move through its length in connection with the ground and space around you
2. ways to communicate to the nervous system that you are safe (joint centration) which is a gateway into relaxed movement and strength training
