Strength arises out of the removal of energy inefficient ways of movement.
These movement sessions using yoga and hands free fascia treatments aim to create conditions in the body from which the nervous system can read physical safety and allow the release of tension.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING SESSIONS
Learning is gradual, starting from the basics of the poses, we continuously train our awareness to pick up on sensations, to allow shifts and notice ways to adapt that bring about a deep felt sensation of relaxation. In the process of undoing tension we release energy and awaken the spine.
We use adaptations to allow each person to enter and experience the exercise without pain or strain gradually releasing tension in tissues and at a deeper level we help remap the neuro fascial connections of the body towards efficiency.
We study the systems of the body and explore our capacity to connect with and facilitate healthy function, agency and desire.
You will be encouraged to begin a dialogue and life long practise that is based on self care, support and awareness of our environment.
AWAKENING THE SPINE
20 years of experience into functional movement, I have traveled and lived in India and studied with telented functional and classical yoga teachers. I teach yoga with lots of awareness around somatics and contemporary movement practises of reconnecting the body and mind through gradual shifts of weight through the body and into space. I specialize in tantra and Vanda Scaravelli hatha yoga.
Yoga together with neuro fascial selfcare will allow you to selfcare for your connective tissue and has the potential to help you regulate and rebalance the nervous system as well as awaken cognitive and creative capacities that help you orient and reconnect.
I am incredibly well versed in contemporary functional anatomy and you will be in safe hands with me to approach poses in a safe way, with progressions and insight relevant to your body to help you get out of recurring injuries and chronic pain and work with the breath towards pleasure and confidence in daily life and sports performance. I combine yoga with neuro fascial self care treatments and somatics.
