III.3 Assessments and measurement strategies provide timely and detailed feedback to the student.

◉ REQUIRED STANDARD

Expectations

    1. Students learn more effectively if they receive frequent, meaningful, and rapid feedback. This feedback can come back directly from you or by feedback built into your assessments.
    2. The syllabus should clarify HOW/WHERE students will receive grades/feedback (e.g. what tool(s) will be used to provide feedback) and WHEN students will receive grades/feedback (e.g. turnaround time)
    3. Specific turn around times should be stated (see example below).

Examples

    • "I will return your research papers two weeks after the submission deadline, or perhaps earlier if I have completed grading them before that time. This feedback, as well as your grade, will be available via Turnitin in the Dropbox."
