August, 2000: I have started to write a few songs. During the summer, when I'm the least busy and most lazy, I just seem to have trouble getting things started. Actually, I have a few ideas, but I plan to take my time in their development. In the past, when I've had a good idea (I think they're all good ideas--hmmm, might be part of my problem, or mystique, as I'd like to call it), I've dropped everything else to complete the writing and to record it.
I'm trying a different approach this year: sit on a song idea for several months before finalizing it....That sitting may just be laziness. Nah, maturity and experience.
New news (is good news) as of mid-November, 2000: Mike Rimmer of Cross Rhythms magazine contacted me to say that he had written a review of "tree hugger", which will appear in the February/March, 2001, issue. He also asked if I'd like to contribute a track to the compilation CD that goes out with each copy of the magazine. I am currently awaiting a reply from him to find out by what date I need to inform him of what song I'd select for the CD.
