Autumn Week 5

Tues Wythenshawe road progression LTP tempo approx 25 mins 

6.45pm warm up 7.00am drills, 7.15pm session

Moor Road and Altrincham rod, finish on the track

LT1 (Marathon) going out and LT2 (threshold) coming back, a mild crash and burn

G1. 7.5k ( Lap of the track Moore Rd, Altrincham Rd upto roundabout,then return

And a lap of the track to finish) 

G2 7k ( lap start, but then the same as G1,)

G3 6k ( lap start, but then the same as G1 but turn at Gib Lane )

Some may do a paarlauf after or 5 x 200ml



Thurs  Wythenshawe track 5 - 10k interval session

6.45pm warm up 7.00am drills, 7.15pm session

G1. 3 x (1200m. + 600m w. 90sR) 3mins Rec

G2. 3 x (1000m. + 500m w. 90sR) 3mins Rec

G3. 3 x (800m. + 400m w. 90sR) 3mins Rec

G4, 3x(3 x 400m  w. 90sR) 3mins Rec


Saturday 27th September Wythenshawe 10.00am

Tempo Grass session 3 x 6 - 9 mins 


Sun Wythenshawe LSR 10.00am 

U17/ u20./ Sen/Vet

Autumn Week 6

TUes Wythenshawe track for grass session

G1, 3 - 4(6 mins + 3 mins w 2minR) 3 mins recov between sets

G2. 3 - 4(5.30 mins + 2.45 mins w 2minR) 3 mins recov between sets

G3. 3(5 mins + 2.30 mins w 2minR) 3 mins recov between sets


Thurs  Wythenshawe track 5 - 10k interval session

G1. 5 x (500m. + 300m + 200m w. 90sR) 2 - 3mins Rec

G2. 5 x (400m. + 300m + 200m w. 90sR) 2 - 3mins Rec

G3. 2 - 5 x (350m. + 250m + 200m w. 90sR) 2 - 3mins Rec


 

SAt 4th ERRA Autumn National Road Relays Sutton Park 

Women tell me now if you want to race 

We have enough  for 3 women’s teams already, but still come forward 

so I will select on Northern times or recent 5k/10k

We were less than 15sec from the Podium in 4th

@ the Northern Champs and 2nd B team in 19th.

Men tell James Bailey and Under 17’s Dave Marsh


Autumn Week 7

Sat 11th MACCL #1 Woodbank Park Stockport

Tell Olly Higby that you want to enter the league

It is important to enter before 4th of October if you want to race in meetings 1 and 2.

State if you want to race in event 2 @ Sefton Park as an extra UK link has to be done

And an extra £3 your club pays for you, if you don’t state then you can’t run @ Sefton Park, also if you want to race in the U20 and U23 Euro trials ie.separate races, you 

Must enter that through UKA

Northern, Manchester Uni, National XC Relays contact me now to be entered

Sat 18th Northern A xc relays Graves Park Sheffield 

2 mile / 3.2K Senior teams (U20, Sen, Vet)

Men teams of 4 and Women teams of 3 , Under 17 teams of 3


Autumn Week 9

Sat 25th Masters XC Relays  3k, Notts 

contact Glen Savage or Anne Chinoy NOW

Over 35, 45, 55, 65 races all 3k legs


Sat 25th Manchester Uni Relays 3K, Wythenshawe park (start near the  track)

We use as training so we run  more than 1 leg, so I will enter

2 - 3 Men teams of six, 2 -3 Women teams of 3 , 1 x Mixed Team of 6


November 2025

Autumn Week 10

Saturday 1st National Cross Country Relay Champs Mansfield 

U20 W 2.5K, U20 Men 3K, Sen/vet  Women 3K, Sen/vet Men 5K

3 teams in each age only

Tell me now if you want entering in one of 3 teams

N.B. Go on Sportsoft to get a parking pass.


Autumn Week 11

Sat 8th 10.00am TBA

grass tempo session + hills 

Maybe Heaton pk, John Leigh or Mersey power station


Autumn Week 12

Sat 15 Wythenshawe 10.00 am grass session long tempo reps

3 x 7 - 10 mins


Autumn Week 13 

Sat 22nd Nov UK Cross Challenge Sefton Park  Plus Maccl #2

N.b.U20 and u23 can do their own separate shorter races (MACCL non counter)

OR the Senior 8k race to count in MACCL

When entering MACCL through Olly or Jess state that you want to race @ Sefton Pk

As we have a little extra admin an extra £3 your club pays, 

so lets not waste money unnecessarily.
