one-day meeting
“Spectroscopic Imaging of Pharmaceuticals”

This one day meeting, held in conjunction with the The Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS) UK Regional Section and Royal Society of Chemistry Molecular Spectroscopy Group (RSC/MSG), will be held at the AstraZeneca site in Macclesfield.
The meeting will focus on recent advances in spectroscopic imaging of pharmaceuticals.... The seminar will cover a range of spectroscopic imaging applications of pharmaceuticals from traditional tablets to biopharmaceutical and everything in between. The aim is to demonstrate the breadth of spectroscopic imaging tools available and how this information is being used to drive innovation in pharmaceutics.
A key feature of this meeting will a student poster session, for which a monetary prize(s) will be awarded to the lead author of the best poster(s) presented. The poster session is an opportunity for students to present a wide variety of imaging techniques applied in the Pharmaceutical or related arena. The poster board size will be A1 (either orientation); the number of posters will be limited to a max. of 36, so early registration (free) is advised. Students wishing to present a poster should contact Joanna Denbigh at: joanna.denbigh@manchester.ac.uk and send Joanna a title and short abstract (approx. 300 words) by 5th September; confirmation of acceptance of a poster for presentation will be provided by 10th September at the latest.
