From Spectral Data to Chemical Knowledge

From Spectral Data To Chemical Knowledge

Its not just reaction monitoring...

Tue 7th Nov, University of Bath, Bath, UK

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

We are pleased to announce the launch of a cross disciplinary meeting which will focus on the spectroscopic analysis of chemical processes, application of this data to advance chemical knowledge and the role of computers and automation. The meeting will include topics such as how to handle and manipulate multiple data streams acquired concurrently, direct comparison of reaction profiles form different techniques, archiving and data security, the use of self-optimising reactors and scientific data management.

There will also be a vendor exhibition during the meeting, to enable users and vendors to share their thoughts on current issues and solutions alike, vendors include ACD/Labs, Mestrelabs, Mettler-Toledo, TgK Scientific, Keit Spectrometers, Magritek and Advion.

The meeting is being jointly organised by the RSC Molecular Spectroscopy Group, the RSC Chemical Information and Computer Applications Group (CICAG) and the Dial-a-Molecule EPSRC Grand Challenge Network. For further information please contact Gill Smith. This meeting is free to attend thanks to the generous support of our sponsoring vendors, in addition to funding from Dial-a-Molecule and the RSC. Spaces will be strictly limited (max 70).

Final program:

Abstracts for the lectures can be found here and a printable version of the program can be found in the attachment below.

This 1-day meeting follows immediately after the launch event for the Dynamic Reaction Monitoring Facility in the Department of Chemistry, to be held on Mon 6th Nov at the University of Bath (link).
