Book Scavenger!

Welcome to the hub of Roeper's Book Scavenger game, inspired by the book by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman! Check out bookscavenger.com to learn more or play the nationwide version of the game.

To participate by hiding books:

1. wrap a book in colorful paper
2. add a label that says BOOK SCAVENGER in big letters (so that it doesn't get put in lost-and-found and so the finder knows it's okay to keep the book)
3. hide the book somewhere on campus. Tips:
   1. Get permission before hiding in a classroom or office.
   2. Be careful to put it somewhere that won't be in someone's way.
   3. If hiding a book outside, put it in a sealed plastic bag.
   4. Camouflage the book by choosing a color of paper that will help it stay hidden.
   5. Keep the book's audience in mind when hiding--Stage II-level books near the Domes or other places Stage II goes, for example. Also keep your clues appropriately challenging to the audience.
