Bargaining update from July 25, 2018

Bargaining update: we won't get a salary counter-proposal from the District until next Thursday. The Association's salary proposal was a 16-Step plan starting at $54,978 and topping out at $100,870. Yesterday was spent giving the District all of our language proposals plus a lengthy discussion about Teachers on Leave from Classroom Assignments. At the end of the day, the District gave us their "we are poor" presentation. Apparently, they've already spent the $18 million in additional funding they are getting from the State for 2018-19.
