Positions
Positions are available for both local and international volunteers.
Local: Community Health, Community development, Environment and Natural resources and Development Research.
International: Community health, Environment and Natural Resources and Development Research.
Requirements
General: A degree or a postgraduate diploma in the specified field, interest in the field and in RICE-WN, ability to serve at least three months and no criminal records.
Local Volunteers: A recommendation from the Chief Administrative Officer, ability to sponsor oneself (accommodation, feeding, transport to office and back to residence), willingness to work in rural areas.
International Volunteers: Completed application form, payment of stipend, terms of reference or acceptance form completed and submitted.
Training
Training for the volunteers is done at the office by Senior Officers. It involves taking the volunteers through policies, procedures, etiquette and operating systems of RICE-WN.
Schedule
Local volunteers: Currently the schedule is from January to May 2013 and September to December 2013.
