Moths

This Large Emerald Moth was found at the Kilvrecht Campsite and photographed by Caitlin Stratton. The moth flies at night in June and July and is attracted to light which probably explains its appearance at the Kilvrecht campsite. The habitats, which it likes, are woods, heaths and moors and its caterpillars feed on birch.
