Periyazhvar

Periyazhvar is the father of Andal (Goda). Periyazhvar's mother and father were Mukunda Bhater and Paduma Valli .The hamsam of Periyazhar is Garudalvan (vehicle of lord Vishnu.) His parent named him "Vishnu Sithar". His parent told Vishnu Sithar stories of Sri Kannapiran. Because he heard so many stories of Sri Kannapiran he got atracted to Lord Vishnu. His Parents were great devotees of Lord Srimanarayana. Vishnu Sithar started dedicating his life on Lord Vishnu. Vishnu Sithar started kainkaryam for Sri Vadabhadra Saayee Perumal as "Sri Kannan" by offering garlands.
