3- General Numbers

Note: In order of importance:

  • Most Important Caps to reach : Hit>Crit>Haste

  • Most Important Statistics : Hit>Spellpower>Crit>Haste>Spirit>Intelligence

3.1 Hit Cap:

17% (446pts) will give you 100% chance to hit a lvl 83 hostile NPC (such as bosses).

16% (420pts) will be enough if you have a draenei in your party (they give you 1% hit chance).

14% (368pts) will be enough if you have a Balance Druid or a Shadow Priest in your raid (they give you 3% by debuffing the target).

13% (341pts) will be enough if you have both a Balance Druid (or a Shadow Priest) and a draenei in your party.

3.2 Critical Strike (Fire):

Selfbuff:

  • Low gear (232-251): minimum 45%

  • High gear (264-284): minimum 50%

My advice: Try to have at least 71% real crit chance on the boss (or more if you do it without sacrificing spellpower or haste).

Why this choice ?

It's a personal choice following this reasoning : If I want to have 50% chance (0.5) to have an HS proc after I cast a single FB, I need to have : √ (0.5) = 0.7072; This means that to have one chance out of two to have a HS after my next FB, I need to have 70.72% crit. I feel comfortable with this idea, this way I have time to use all my HS procs and refresh my LB as soon as possible. After this 71% crit rate, I just dedicate my stat points to other things like spell power or haste. Assuming the fact at very end gear you will reach it easily with your gear.

3.3. Spell Power:

No maximum here just try to have as much as you can. And remember this is your primary statistic, your most powerful one. The second most important after your Hit rating.

To give you an idea :

  • Low Gear- try to reach 3000 when you have all spellpower procs.

  • High Gear- try to have 3000 without any procs.

  • With Best In Slot Gear you will have 3394.

3.4. Haste Cap:

Haste is not relevant at low gear just let it increase with you gear.

A minimum of 670 is a good beginning to my mind.

At Best In Slot Gear you will have 1043 passive haste, and that's enough in my opinion.

But the more intelligent way to go is to actually chose a cap which means something to you. For that please go to the sheet i'll give you below.

3.5 Theorycraft Values

5.5.1 Hit Rating.

1% Hit = 26.232 Hit Rating (Only for spellcasters)

5.5.1 Crit Rating.

+45.91 Crit = + 1% Crit chance

Crit Chance = (Intelligence / 166.6667) + 0.91 + (Crit Rating / 45.91)

5.5.3 Haste Rating.

1% Spell Haste = 32.79 Haste Rating (Precisely : 32.78998947)

3.6 Spell Power Scaling.

FB Damage = ((888-1132) + (100+15% of the Spell Power)) * (Talents modifications)

FFB Damage = ((722-83 + (85.71+15% of the Spell Power)) * (Talents). *Placed here for comparison*

Pyro Damage= ((1190-1510) + (115+15% of the Spell Power)) * (Talents)

LB Damage = (345*(20% of the Spell Power) + 345*(20% of the Spell Power) + 345*(20% of the Spell Power) + 345(20% Of the Spell Power) + 690*(42.86% of the Spell Power)) * (Talents)

FB Critical Strike = FB Damage * 150%

Pyro Critical Strike = Pyro Damage * 150%

FFB Critical Strike = FFB Damage * 150% + FFB Damage * 100% (via the talent Ice Shards) *Placed here for comparison*
