The Prairie Ridge Home Owner's Association was created in early 1999 by Herbert Development Corporation to ensure that the Prairie Ridge Subdivisions in Lincoln, Nebraska are maintained in accordance with the desires of the developers and homeowners. The Association is incorporated with the State of Nebraska as a non-profit corporation.
The Association owns two Commons areas that were required by the City of Lincoln as part of the development to be maintained for storm water retention. The areas are located on both the north and south sides of Indigo Court, east of 20th Street.
Every person or entity that owns one of the properties in one of the Prairie Ridge Subdivisions is automatically a member of the Prairie Ridge Homeowners Association. The Association has an annual meeting in which a Board of Directors is elected. The Board of Directors is responsible for conducting the regular business of the Association throughout the year in accordance with the Bylaws. The primary business of the Association is to ensure that the Protective Covenants are enforced and the Commons areas are maintained. This is funded by an annual dues assessment that is levied against the members of the Association.
