Donna graduated from Point Park College and the Playhouse in 1974, she received her MFA from Florida State and the Asolo Theater Company. Then, she moved to NYC to pursue a stage career. Donna has worked extensively in regional theaters, off-Broadway and pre-Broadway.
Lately, she’s focused on commercial voice-overs. You may have heard her praise Actifed, Coca Cola, and National Dairy Association – among her many spots. Also in NYC, she met her husband - Bruce Robinson. This year will be their 30th wedding anniversary (which they’ll celebrate in Paris!). She spends a lot of time in support of her playwright/partner’s magnificent plays. As a dramaturge, actress, publicist, and muse (Bruce says); she’s followed the plays across the country - from LA to Denver to Detroit and even to Arkansas. She’s also the linchpin of Popcorn Rep. - so-named by frequent participant Austin Pendleton after Donna’s gourmet, homemade popcorn. This group meets at Donna’s apartment to read Bruce’s plays.
Donna’s also developed a highly successful free-lance internet marketing business. And even this is an indirect by-product of what she learned at the Playhouse – always be prepared, reach for your objectives with real conviction, and never let ‘em see you sweat. Donna’s delighted to re-connect with so many wonderful people who have meant so much to her.
