G&T on the Run - Running Fitness
Get The Most Out Of Your Running
Training for running is not just about 'getting in the miles', as this approach can often lead to pain and injury. Train to run, whether for a marathon or for fun by improving your body's strength for the rigours of the road.
G&T on the Run has been developed for both the professional and fun runner.
Resistance Training
Exercises using weights, Resistance Bands and your own bodyweight will strengthen the muscles around your joints and connective tissue to aid performance and, more importantly, help prevent injury.
Core Strength & Stability
A combination of bodyweight, Stability (Swiss) Ball, B.O.S.U. & Pilates exercises will help you 'stay strong in your running style', helping the lower and upper body to work more efficiently through your core.
Progressive Stretching
Stretching will help you stay supple and flexible and, combined with the Resistance and Core training, will help maintain good posture and gait - especially after your runs. Most importantly, stretching will improve the results of your training and help you stay injury free.
