When the taxi arrived, Amanda was ready, dressed in her very best clothes. She tried to take a step but she couldn’t. It was in that moment when she realized it was real, it was not a dream anymore. She started to feel dizzy, she nervously picked up her cellphone to call Martin. When he answered, Amanda exclaimed: “I can’t do it, I can’t go out for that door,” and Martin didn’t say a word, he could be angry or sad or who knows what, but for Amanda, he was disappointed, that was what she was feeling. She sadly remembered all the conversations, all the time that they were planning the meeting when suddenly, she also remembered how as the last time she went out of her house. The blood, the car accident just in front of her door, and still on the phone neither Amanda nor Martin spoke. It was an awkward moment, a quiet one but full of emotions.
After a while, Amanda hopefully started to tell him how much she cares about him, how much she loved him and for how long she was waiting to give him a hug. “I finally made it,” and yelled “¡surprise!” There was a knock at his door, he opened, and she was there, extending her arms.-
