Evaporative Emissions

The Evaporative Emissions system consists of a small fuel hose used to purge fuel vapors into a charcoal canister and then routed to the intake manifold for consumption and controlled via complicated software code. Sensor and solenoid settings need to be adjusted if they are removed for off-road or racing purposes.

Venting Disabled, Fault Monitoring Disabled

If all hardware is removed and disconnected, disable "Vapor Purging".

This will prevent any solenoids from venting fuel tank pressure so the hardware must be modified to allow for adequate fuel tank pressure relief.

Venting Enabled, Fault Monitoring Disabled

If all hardware is present, the venting function can be retained while selecting one of the following options for the "Vapor Faults" monitoring logic and CEL.

- Allowed

- Not Allowed

- Disabled

It is easiest to configure this with MS41 ECU Portal.
