Custom Code - MS41.3
MS41.3 can be downloaded from https://ms413.bimmertuningtools.com
The following tables can be tuned up to 5556 mg/stroke (Load) and 4096 kg/hr (Airflow):
- MAF Scaling
- Base Fuel/Timing Tables
- AlphaN
- Boost Control
- FlexFuel
- Speed Density
* Each table or axis that uses Load indicates what its limit is. Most of the lower priority tables remain at the stock limit.
Replace your factory narrowband O2 sensor with any aftermarket wideband O2 sensor and enable Narrowband Emulation on MS41.3. This lets you ditch the narrowband sensor and run only off the wideband. MS41.3 also lets you run full-time Closed Loop with a fully adjustable RPM vs Load - AFR Target table, though limited to up to 4800RPM, as per some initial testing.
0-5V Ethanol Content Analyzer supported.
Calculates:
- Fuel Injection (ms)
- Cranking Fuel Injection (ms)
- Ignition Timing (BTDC)
- Fuel - 20x20
- Ignition Timing - 20x20
- AlphaN - 20x16
0-5V Sensor Inputs (Linear Response Sensors only)
- WidebandO2
- MAP
- Ethanol %
- Oil Pressure
- Fuel Pressure
*Oxygen Senors, and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor wiring can be spliced into.
User-configurable via 24KB.
CEL blinking at 200ms can be user-configured for various conditions such as:
- High Coolant Temp
- Low Coolant Temp & Mid-High RPM
- Knock
- Boost/AFR/etc. limits
Future-Variable Flash Count logic can allow other code to flash CEL, for example, once if switching to Boost Map 1, and twice if Boost Map 2.
- RPM limit above which a user-configured 0 to 100% ignition retard is applied.
- (3) Pins 80, 81, 82 can used as 5V toggle switches to activate code such as:
----- Toggle switch to enable a user-configured ignition retard % for 'rolling-anti-lag'
----- Clutch switch to aid shifting
Allow use of stock AlphaN tables without a DTC 8 for MAF.
AlphaN + Load Smoothing
-precisely control which cells from the main fuel map are used during Closed Loop or Open Loop
Log most parameters at 15 samples per second
INPA and standard MS41 compatibility maintained.
Boost Control
Boost controller can be wired to the Carbon Canister Purge Valve solenoid.
(2) boost maps can be switched via 5V Pins 80, 81, 82, and A/C switch (Future).
Calculated Wastegate Duty Cycle can be trimmed by:
- Coolant Temp
- Intake Temp
- Vehicle Speed
- Knock
- Manifold Pressure (if MAP sensor)
Note: Speed Density has been loosely tested to not function properly so it is not considered a usable feature.
Speed Density
Manifold Absolute Pressure is used with RPM and Intake Port Air Temperature to calculate Load using the following maps:
- SD Load
- SD Port Temp. Compensation
- SD Port Temp. Weighting
- SD Load Smoothing
