FlexFuel
MS41.3 supports FlexFuel with the associated supporting hardware. Here are some base values that can be used to get up and running quickly. Further tuning will be required.

The flowchart below describes the custom Assembler code that governs the FlexFuel logic within MS41.3. Further explanation will be posted later.
Full blending of alternate fuel and timing maps that respond to a variable 0 to 100% Alternate Fuel Content is supported. You can also configure them to respond to an on/off toggle switch if a 0-5V transducer is not available.
Common Alternate Fuels:
Ethanol Mix (E0 thru E100)
Liquified Petroluem Gas (LPG)
Hardware
FlexFuel can be utilized by installing an Ethanol Content sensor which has a final output of a linear 0-5 Volts.
GM and Continental make EC sensors but they output a square wave with varying frequencies and widths. These cannot be directly connected to the MS41 ECU. An Ethanol Content Analyzer converts these digital signals into a 0-5 Volt linear analog output which the ECU can read, for example:

Or, you can buy a full kit:
Several options exist within the ECU to connect various 0-5 Volt sensors. Read about Sensor Inputs to find out more.
Tuning
There are 4 tables that must be tuned:
FlexFuel - Fuel Trim
FlexFuel - Cranking Fuel Trim
FlexFuel - Ignition Trim
FlexFuel - Ignition Compensation
*This logic is turned on automatically once a Sensor Input is selected for "Flex Fuel - Input Select" (formerly called "Ethanol - Input Select")
IPW (Normal) = Base IPW * (Fuel Trim)
IPW (Cranking) = Cranking IPW * (Fuel Trim + Cranking Fuel Trim)
IGN (Normal) = Base IGN + (Ignition Trim * Ignition Advance)
**Read the Table Properties for each for more details.
Fuel Trim
Other tables are set so they are not in effect:
- Add Cranking Fuel Trim if cold starts are difficult with higher ethanol content.
- Increase Ignition Advance carefully.
