A very solid display today all round. We had goal threats all over the pitch, numerous chances after some real fluent passing and counter attacking football. We spoke a lot before the game about getting back to not conceding goals as we have been far too open recently. The return of Josh White definitely added some steel at the back.

At the other end I was just mesmerised by Brian’s attacking play, linking up with Phil, Brad and Ish in the 1^st half and then Rankin and Liam after half time.

We got the early goal we deserved. I think it was Ish that got the ball out to Brian and he finished cooly. 1-0. Hampton played some decent stuff and we had to have a wits about us at the back. Jake and Josh were strong throughout the half.

Bri hit the bar and post yet again, he tells me that’s 14 times now this season. Brad put in his best display since the return from injury working up and down the right.

The 2^nd half was great to watch, an end to end game. Rankin scored after a good pass from Bri. It was a real powerhouse finish.2-0. Alfie was called into action on three occasions as we held on for the clean sheet as Elliot and Josh D picked up from where the others left off.

Ish was dominating the midfield and Liam was straight into the action with nice 1, 2s.

Then we got what was probably our goal of the season. Bri and Liam played 2 give and go’s before Bri cut inside the defender and bent it into the top corner from distance. One of their fans shouted “sign him up” at that point and I think it summed up what was a terrific display.

We continued to create chances and their keeper made a few cracking saves. Josh D headed a corner wide late on.

Well played today boys. It was a good display from everyone. 6 games to go and more of the same would give us a good chance.
