Scanning Files in Ubuntu

One important task today is scanning files for whatever reason you want. It is easy to do it in Ubuntu Hardy.

First of all, make sure you have installed the packages libsane, xsane and xsane-common

[> sudo apt-get install xsane xsane-common libsane

Once installed, connect your scanner and go to Applications-->Graphics-->Xsane Image Scanner

That's it!

Now, you can choose the format of the scanned image, say PDF, JPG or other. Even you can do multipage jobs... I'll write some detalis later, 'cause I haven't my devise right now.

Enjoy!
