The region below the Antarctic Circle latitude (66.5S) and extending to the South Pole is the Southern Frigid Zone.
The region from the Tropic of Capricorn latitude (23.5S) to the Antarctic Circle is called the Souther Temperate Zone.
The region between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn latitudes is called the Torrid Zone.
The region from the Tropic of Cancer latitude (23.5N) to the Arctic Circle is called the Northern Temperate Zone.
