    Richard L. Soule is an author and researcher of emergent homin. An International Hominologist and member of Rez Squatching Research, Omaha Nation. He has contributed to public and private expeditions in Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, New Mexico and Montana. Richard has conducted research on the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers with tributaries. His research includes peripheral Urban, Native American Reservations in addition to State/ Federal parks and Mountain regions. 

   Richard is the founder of the Nox Gigas Study “Night Giant” in Latin, a repository of his ongoing research. Highlights of his research include the “Hominoid Contagion Theory” linking disease contagions  and their effects on the hominoids of the world. He has authored the "Emergent Homin Theory" concerning, The Zana (Russian Homin) "Dr. Igor Burtsev" and the Sub-Saharan African connection MUC7E haplo group "Origin of Bigfoot". His “Nox Gigas Theory” identifies karst habitat and Bigfoot sightings as they overlap! He discusses the connection of Hominoids of the past to their modern relative the Sasquatch. Their  culmination of divergent paths of light and darkness, Homo Sapient and Homo Troglodyte. Richard contributed to the Hominology definition, History and Application as an associate with "Dmitri Bayanov" (2019). His book the “Forest Signs of the Sasquatch” Nox Gigas (Lulu publishing 2015) is a field guide in the identification of Stick and Tree structures attributed to Sasquatch.

I have linked below two important papers on Hominology. The Hominology Definition, History and Application document was created as a submission to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, the submission was declined on the basis that the term Hominology had not been cited in enough scientific papers and that hominoids were not acknowledged by science. None the less, I beleive these documents will in time be rectified and there place in history will be recoginized as Hominology science.

Rez Squatching Meet and Greet

Barry and D with help from many others including Sue Jackson invited members of their Facebook group to Big Elk Park for a cook out and a chance to swap stories of Bigfoot.

Barry had asked me to speak at the event and I was happy to share my recent research. Many others that day shared stories of encounters with Bigfoot that I will try and post in the future. It was a moving experience as some of these stories have not been shared publicly. 

Our hopes of having Dr. Igor Burtsev join the May expedition was under a shadow of  doubt because of the current political climate with the US and Russia. Since the meeting I have spoken to Dr. Burtsev and he was not granted a visa. The plan was to have him speak at the Omaha Rez and work to get funding for a DNA study. I had contacted a possible sponsor and he could not commit to funding the 50 K needed.  I think if Dr. Burtsev had  been able to come it would have been a done deal with funding but now it may be at a stand still. This is disappointing to me personally and for Dr. Burtsev who has put his life work into the Almasty research. I truly believe all the evidence needed is available, Dr. Burtsev has the Kwhit and Zana skulls and he was prepared to get blood samples with a Nurse from their living relatives. The connection with the Archiac Sub Saharan  African haplo group would validate the existence of the Leshy (Russian Forest Dweller or Yeti) and to me represent the blue print for Bigfoot DNA.

Spring Expedition

On Thursday afternoon the 24th we scouted the two track south of the old mission. (Barry, Dennis Wilcox and myself The two track was blocked by a large tree and there were many structures near the two track. We came back later with a chainsaw to clear the tree. The tree was very heavy deciduous hard wood and seemed to be uprooted and drug over the road. This would have required immense strength to move the tree estimated at several thousand pounds. It took a dozen attempts with the chainsaw to clear away the tree, finally using a Suburban to pull it off to the side. The tree structures were saplings, one pulled into an arch and another pulled over the two track and woven into a tree top. We walked in to retrieve Dennis's recorder and saw additional structures in the timber that was a large bluff. Below the top of the bluff was a trail that flanked the ridge as a covert path.

At 1:45 am on the 25th Barry and I went on a night operation NOX OPX on the Missouri River that we had planned to scout. We went First by the boat dock where it was still and quiet we scanned with our FLIR. We then left to drive near cable crossing. When we reached a spot to park we drove past the trail opening to the river. We got out and began to scan the tree line about 175 yards away . Barry commented that something had swung between some trees and a large area separating the trees was now dark. We scanned with the FLIR and took pictures and video. Whatever it was seemed huge and was not moving!

We then walked about 20 yards to the small opening that descended on the river just ten yards below. Barry asked to use my flashlight and I handed it to him. We must have disturbed something as we quickly approached the rivers edge. A glass jug and some bottles were strewn about on the dirt landing. A large splash was heard immediately and another followed as if two people dived into the water. Barry and I were startled and scanned our FLIR out toward the water. We could hear splashing and a disturbance! “I said we spooked some Ci’tonga” and we both listened to the splashing. We began to get concerned when we stood at the edge of the river bank and Barry said he saw something large and black just beneath the waterline moving quickly. All of a sudden a loud surge of water and what seemed like a roar emerged from the water in front of us. We both stepped back and said we need to get out of here. I commented that I think we got bluff charged from the water!! We quickly moved back up to the open field. We gathered ourselves as we tried to process what had occurred. I mentioned that I had my recorder running and should have captured those sounds. Unfortunately when I checked my recorder it had stopped just as we were driving there. I made a rookie mistake and didn't look to see it was running when I got out of the jeep. We did take some FLIR pics to capture the moment. Our drive back to Big Elk we were still on a adrenaline high.

I had to return home in the morning and wished the guys well on the rest of the Expedition
