Since 2011 I have participated in and conducted public and private expeditions near and along the upper Mississippi river and Missouri river regions bordering Iowa , Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Missouri and Nebraska. The Mountain Regions of Colorado, New Mexico and Montana. Including Native American Reservations, State and Federal Parks, Wild life Management areas as well as corridors of urban periphery. In the absence of mainstream science the contributions gathered on an individual basis and group effort has shaped my understanding of this Relict Hominoid that I have termed the Nox Gigas.

Excerpt from my July 2014 sighting on the Omaha Rez Expedition
(see the Field notes in Nebraska Bigfoot section)
As we approached the timber line near the alfalfa field, I saw just at the end of the truck headlights a reddish/brown hairy figure move quickly into the timber. I mentioned it right away as we just came to a stop. I thought it may have been a deer but we had seen many deer dash in front of us that night and their hairs were sleeker looking. The hair on the Reddish/brown figure that I saw was long and shaggy/matted. I just caught a glimpse, I couldn’t tell if it was standing at the time or had been squatting but all I saw was the lower parts of it disappear into the timber as the head lights came to a stop.
Barry was setting behind me in the truck and he acknowledged seeing the figure also. What stood out to me was the long reddish hair,( matted together approximately eight inches long) It moved to its right and from our view about 20 yards from us had either been crouching near the tree line in the high overgrowth of weeds or standing. I got the impression it had been crouched and in one movement turned to its right and stepped into the timber out of the trucks head lights. We saw the torso arm and leg move as it pivoted. The hair was clumped together and long, it appeared like dreadlocks. I thought this Citonga was more unkept then some of the black colored ones that had been seen.
In hindsight, now I associate the red haired ones with the ancient DNA such as the description of ZANA. The red haired ones seem to be more aggressive and this one did not disappoint when we entered his home that night! We stood under two trees woven together on their side with the branches over our heads. The whole trees began to shake and it startled us. We started to walk down a trail to leave and dirt was thrown in the air at us. This was a brief sighting but to me significant that I had a visual with Barry there also to confirm it.

I arrived in Macy around 11 AM and Called Barry and Brad. They were at the school with, Dr. Jeffery Meldrum and Gary Volker, Mike Hall of “Official Bigfoot Search Team” with Brian from L.A and Peter from the Netherlands filming a documentary. This was a scouting trip for Dr Meldrum and Gary to meet the Rez Squatching team and the Research area of the Omaha land on the Missouri river riparian forest. Dr Meldrum spoke to the school children and Barry had planned a ceremony to induct Jeff into the tribe.
Barry had me meet them down at Big Elk campground where we would start our introductions to Rez Squatching. I was just there a month before but this was different. The significance of an International researcher from the Relict Hominoid Inquiry was monumental in my mind. Rez Squatching is on the map. Barry and Derek’s hard work has culminated to National Status. There was no looking back now.
I greeted Barry with a hug (Brother) and met Dr. Meldrum, Gary and Mike with the documentary team as we entered the cabin where Barry and Rez Squatching had met so many times before. Jeff as “Dr Meldrum stated” I could call him; was an engaging persona. Gary and Mike are Nebraskans too flying under the Radar as Gary put it. Here we met with a common goal of researching Bigfoot.
Barry laid out the events of the day as we had lunch and they listened to our stories. Tonight we would have a sacred Omaha ceremony to bring Jeff into the tribe. Derek, Paul, Elvie and Delshay would join us later.
We drove out in a caravan of four vehicles to the Riparian Forest descending down to Hole in the Rock the sacred land of the O’ma ha. The descent led us through a winding icy two track that dug deep into the bluffs around us. The forest was stark in winter with thick deciduous timber unfolding all around us like an ancient cathedral. When we reached the last few twisting turns the large crust of rock opened up to the flat river bottom land. To our left was a large hole in the rock just as it is named dark and curved. The N/A are very literal in their description and I love that about them. The Hin’ Shkube Nu or “Hairy man” is a reminder of the history that they have shared. This is a reconnection of the past to the present. The Hin’ Shkube Nu and the O’ma ha, the “Thunder bird” clan. We have reached their sacred land beneath the bluffs where Chief Black Bird was interned.
We drove to the frozen water’s edge of the Missouri River and looked up at the Bluff with the dead timbered strewn land surrounding us. The cold was Artic, single digits but the Sun was out and there was no breeze. We talked about the significance of this land. Barry and I had taken another road straight up into the bluff, which was ice covered now and inaccessible, back in August. (It had been freshly plowed then). I had driven down here early in the day while I was waiting for them to meet me at Big Elk Park. I knew there was a fresh water spring somewhere up in that timber as I had been there in December and the road was to muddy to pass even n my jeep. Now everything is frozen solid.
We decided to do a wood knock, so I brought out my truck tire bat and whacked a tree three times then had Barry whoop on the third time. A short while later a clear wood knock could be heard in the dead timbered strewn about by the river, off to our right when facing the bluff. We all said that was a knock and pointed that direction. There was no wind and it was very quiet. These were the perfect conditions for recording wood knocks. I was wearing my giant squid mics on my coat and normally would have them on my hat but my stocking cap didn’t give me that option. The sound man had his mics going so I’m sure he captured the return Knock. Then we decided to try again but my tire knocker split in half from the bitter cold! Gary had his own knocker and he struck the same tree. Another return knock came from the timber near the Missouri river. The Hin, Shkube Nu are active in the winter there is no doubt. Jeff told me later that that was the first return wood knock he had heard in the field. Gary was elated too to have such a clear knock returned. We decided to gather wood for a bon fire when we return. This was the location that we would do our Night Operation! We then drove to the lookout point to view the Missouri river and the Riparian forest from above. Peter (camera man) did a whistle but it was quiet there. We decided to return there at night to use the FLIR Thermal Imager.
It was getting dark so we returned to Big Elk campground where Paul would be meeting us with D and Delshay. We ate Dinner that Paul had brought, Meat loaf, Au gratin Potatoes and Green bean casserole. You can’t beat a hot meal in this type of Arctic cold, the temperature was hovering around Zero. We shared more stories at the cabin and I asked Jeff about the Blue Mountain Track way in Washington State that he had casted his first prints in the 90’s. He said that there more than thirty tracks. They were presumably a female and two younger ones. The female track had one foot slightly turned out as if she had been looking back at the road behind her. At one point her foot prints increased in stride and Jeff believed that she began to run on her front pads and toes. Those prints led directly to brush and then disappeared. He said he had not seen a track find that big since then. His description and subsequent research of the foot is telling in the way the female ran. I was in awe of this exchange and felt this had been a surreal experience for me.
When D arrived the ceremony was set to begin. D asked that this not be filmed so, I will also honor his request and not go into detail of the Sacred ceremony we partake in. Jeff received a Blanket made by the Omaha and was given a sacred name as a new member of the Thunderbird Clan. We were now ready to here Barry’s prayer to request us a visit by Hin’ Shkube Nu as we prepared to go on our night operation. We all changed into our cold weather gear and Paul left to return home, he could not stay. Brad got a head ache and had to leave too. Delshay had to return to the Tribal Police. D would meet up with us later. It would be just, Barry, Elvie, Jeff, Gary, Mike, Peter, Brain and myself to head back down to the Hole In the Rock.
We caravan back down into the timbered riparian forest along the Missouri river and turned our vehicles to the bluff to shine on our lights when Hin Shkube Nu comes. Barry got out of my Jeep first and I was setting my recorder and getting my FLIR ready. It took a moment for us all to get ready but I could tell Barry sensed an urgency to get to the timber. He came back to me as I got out of my Jeep and he told me that he is here, Hin’ Shkube nu had just came out of the darkness and stood for a moment then returned back. right in front of Barry. Barry was upset that we were all too slow and missed this opportunity. Once again we were not prepared even with the state of the art equipment brought in from California. Once we all gathered together Barry announced our presence but it was quiet and nothing more stirred. We scanned the bluff and around us as we started the fire.
I had taken some FLIR video as Barry, Jeff, Gary and Elvie were standing facing the timber. The camera man began taking video of me about that same time. When I played the video back later I noticed two hot spots that appeared to be looking from the tree line. Then a flash of light pulses as I capture it on film. The anomalies light flash was very curious to me and I suspect I had captured a Bio Electric Static event. Brad left with a head ache after this occurred and at the time I didn't make the connection until seeing this FLIR footage. See link below to FLIR video. Infrasound is another possible explanation for his headache but that is low frequency sound" below the 20 Hz cycles per second" that is audible by humans.
The temperature was very cold down by the river and if you stepped away from the fire you felt the arctic air immediately. I kept my eyes on the ridge line looking for shadow or any movement but there was only solitude. In the timber nothing was moving and the moon was rising which would cast a bright light onto the wooded canvas before us. At one point I thought I saw eye glow in the timber. I pointed out to Gary and Mike. I told them that they will peek around trees and exhibit eye glow as they do this. We decided to walk toward the light source to see what it was but when Mike and I approached it we could tell it was a reflection of the moon beam on the snow covered log. Moon shadows will distort size and shape and the moon light has played some tricks here tonight on me. I have seen eye glow many times but was hopeful I could make a believer out of the guys tonight. Unfortunately there was too much moon light to let the Hin’ Shkube Nu move in close to us.
Rex, Barry’s son arrived with D, it was time to start the next phase of our Night op. I wanted to get back up into the Road just up into the Bluff but the steep incline was snow covered with Ice and we would not be able to ascend it. D and I decided to hike up the hill and access it on foot. We took the team up the embankment that was at a 90 degree angle slowly one at a time. As we reached the road it was evident that the Hin Shkube Nu had brought trees and branches onto the road. We could not pass this point in a vehicle even if we had made it to the incline. I looked up and around us knowing that the Sentinel of the group would be right here as we came onto the road. I asked for a head count to be sure everyone is on the same page. Flashlights scanned all around and I knew that they would stay back out of the light. I told Jeff that this road was cleared in August but the debris here appears to be more substantial than what would normally occur from storm damage. I believed especially the large tree that covered the whole road. I asked Jeff “where did this large tree fall from” and he looked puzzled as he looked up and around. He suggested that this needed further investigation during the day to determine what was happening here. The road continued on with tree and branch cover as we hiked in stepping over the debris. I knew that it was the calling card of Hin’ Shkbe Nu and that they did not want us to come any further. A natural spring was another 400 yards up the road back in the timber and I wanted to get to that point. D led us up into the wooded bluff off the road and a huge Asterisk stood near the ridge line. Easily, (6 ft by 6ft). I said immediately it’s an Asterisk and Jeff then approached it and began commentary with the camera crew. He told me later in an e-mail that the Asterisk was the first Tree and stick structure that he would refer to as trace evidence; he seemed intrigued in examining it. He held the woven branches and pulled on them as they stayed in place. This was his first believable structure and it was impressive. I shot FLIR pics of it but did not have my camera. I hope the video will do it justice when the documentary is completed. I was on a Squatching High in this frigid weather! Gary examined a tree break not far from the Asterisk and we could see we were directly above the Bon Fire. D walked us back out of the timber back to the road to where we met Barry at the Jeep.
D, Elvie , Barry and I then took the caravan to the Look Out over the Missouri River valley to use the Thermal Imager to scan the bottom forest. While standing at the Bluffs edge D talked about this sacred place and its significance for the Omaha Shaman. He said that to be a Shaman had a final test of three days fasting on this bluff, no food or water. On the third night the men would be approached by the Hin’ Shkube Nu. The Hin Shkube Nu would approach behind then growl and stomp around. Only the one who stayed and did not run in fear could be the Shaman of the Omaha. I may not have told this story correctly and I mean no disrespect in sharing this publicly. Forgive me brothers for my ignorance. What I do think is significant is that going out into the timber requires faith and there is no tolerance for someone to run away. We have no weapons or way to defend ourselves from the Hin’ Shkube Nu we rely on bravery and faith to guide us. The lesson of the Shaman is the lesson of faith and trust in your brother.
We drove to another location where a howl had been heard a few days earlier, but it was quiet and the wood knocks by Gary were unreturned. It was around 12:30 AM and flights to Los Angeles and Pocatello were in early in the morning. We shook hands and I took some final Pictures of Barry with Jeff, Gary, Mike, Brian and Peter. This was a huge success for Rez Squatching and I am proud of all my brothers have contributed to this research. I drove the guys back to Big Elk after a brief trip to town. Barry walked with me back to the Timber where I had positioned a Blackout trail cam. I left to head home to my wife and said good bye to my Brothers. As I drove along the road heading to the highway two deer jumped out in front of my jeep. I sounded my horn and stomped on the brakes. It reminded me that you have to be prepared all the time for the unsuspecting. I knew to watch for deer and my high beams on still shook me up. I checked my memory card the next day for the trail cam. I realized that when I had put batteries in the cam I forgot to put the memory card in from my other trail cam. So maybe the Hins’ Shkube Nu did visit but I was just not ready yet.

Missouri River Coyotes On December 1st of 2012 Paul, Scott and I did an overnight NOX OP on the Missouri river in S.E Nebraska. We had played some whale recordings while on a night hike on the ridge line above camp. It was very quiet as we hiked the ridges and did calls from the Adirondack shelters. We came back to base camp and had constant Coyote activity all night. There are some islands on the Missouri river just off of the area we were located and we believed the Sas my have been in the water as we could hear what sounded like swimming off shore.
This area has since been flooded and was turned into a waterway for fish habitat by the DNR. Coyote and Sasquatch activity are many times closely linked. I suspected that night they were both frustrated with our base camp located near their Riparian forest. Listen to the Coyotes scolding us and watch for some eyeglow from the treeline.

Dr. Igor Burtsev (Moscow, International Hominology) and I traveled to the Omaha Reservation on Sunday evening 9/9/18. Before we left, I had a meet and greet in Lincoln, Nebraska for some local researchers to meet Igor. We had dinner at the Cracker Barrel restaurant located near the 27th and I-80 exit. I choose this location because of the Saline wetland area adjacent to the back of the restaurant, (Bigfoot habitat). Igor had traveled from Post Falls, Idaho where he had finished a Spirituality Conference. Igor had also spoken in Kennewick, Washington at the International conference that week. The meet in greet ran over my initial time frame but he sold three books and seemed to relish in talking with the private group gathered to meet him. He told me he was surprised that Nebraska had this kind of following. I had given a speech at the Nebraska conference in February on Zana (Russian Snowwomen) DNA and Sub Saharan Africa. Daniel Perez was at the conference and assisted me in contacting Dr. Sykes (Wolfson College). He was retired and not associated with a laboratory. Dr. Burtsev contacted me and informed me of the current research regarding Zana. He had planned to come to the U.S. in the spring but had complications with his travels and was unable to until now. Igor is working with labs to identify the whole genome of the Russian Snowman and Vladimir Yamshchikov is one of the geneticists that he had got me in contact with. It was surreal for me to introduce him to the conference organizers who had assisted me in getting my research out. Another form of quantum entanglement that is common in Bigfoot research.
Meet and Greet With Igor! Profound information on the Russian Snowman Leshy
On our drive to the Omaha Reservation in Macy, Nebraska we drove along the Loess hills and Missouri river. We arrived at Big Elk park on the Omaha Rez after 11 pm and met Barry, Linda Jo, Angel and her daughter Sierra at the cabins. It was getting late so we set up our bedding and talked for a while before going to bed at 1 am. That night Linda and Angel had heard some light tapping on the cabin near their bedroom. I slept lightly but new that the Ci’tonga (Bigfoot) often visited the cabins there. The cabins sat on the low land surrounded by the tree covered Loess hills and between the Missouri river that borders Iowa and Nebraska. The Omaha Reservation has land on both sides of the river and the timbered ridgelines have natural springs and wet and dry cave systems that are integral ecosystems for the Ci’tonga. (Karst Systems) Ci’tonga has lived here long before the Omaha had arrived in the area.
In the morning Igor, Barry and I visited the Omaha school in Macy and toured some of the classes learning about the efforts to teach the history and language of the Omaha tribe. Barry had been very involved in supporting the school whenever a celebrity such as Dr. Burtsev came to the Rez. He arranged a visit that was beneficial to us all as Igor enjoyed seeing the Omaha history first hand.
We then traveled to Walthill for Breakfast and discussed our plan to investigate Linda Jo's home. She had seen an eleven foot Ci’tonga and a smaller one (Male and Female) the day before in her tree line by a creek. We arrived on the Winnebago tribe land, that Linda Jo lives on, and greeted her husband who allowed us to look around. There were three dogs, which is common on these sparsely populated homesteads. Last year at a different home two dogs were taken from the yard by a Ci’tonga in the broad daylight. The dogs were never found. Citonga have been foraging food that is left out for decades on the Reservation. In this way, they have been habituated to taking discarded food and even pets if left unattended. The Ci’tonga is the keepers of the forest and is respected by the Omaha people. Linda had told us about an encounter she had with her daughter years ago. One night her daughter had been down by the river and Ci’tonga had spoken to hear (Mind speak) to come to the other side of the creek. Linda Jo found her and told the Ci’tonga to not come across the creek to her property anymore and to leave her family alone. She had set clear boundaries with them and this is important in sharing the forests with them. We walked around the house and I found the remains of what looked like a possum. We then walked to the area up toward the entrance to her property.
Sighting investigation Pictures at a location of a recent sighting
The area of her sighting was along a riparian forest creek that wound through her property. We waded through the tall grass and found a game trail that was heavily traveled just outside the timberline above the creek bed. Igor noticed the tree break and the location she had said they were standing. We didn't see any tracks but the ground was a steep decline to the creek below. Broken branches where on the ground and exposed roots of the trees were noticed. Ci’tonga will stand on logs or anything that will break up their track imprint. The game trail followed the creek and led to the road. The grass was matted down but no impressions were visible. I noticed a huge Cottonwood tree and was drawn to it. When we looked around it there was a small sapling arch with many small twigs hanging from it. All the twigs progressed in a line on one side of the sapling, Igor commented that this is not normal and an interesting structure made by Ci’tonga. We would see this type of marker many more times in the following areas we investigated. The cottonwood was huge and I estimated it to be 100 plus years old, the bark was deep and thick. I took pictures and we concluded our investigation in agreement that Linda Jo has an active area around her home.
Omaha Shaman Story of Ci'tonga and how the Shaman are chosen
We then drove to the Old mission area west of Macy on a ridgeline in the Loess hills. This area was the original “Lutheran Mission” from the late 1800’s. It stands as a ruin with only an old stone marker and strewn about bricks from the previous structures there. Barry explained the traumatic history of the Omaha people and that this was a sacred place were many of his ancestors had suffered. This was the origin of the Reservation and the land that the Omaha tribe calls their own. In the 1800’s The Government put various religious institutions in charge of missions to indoctrinate the Native people to their Christian model. It was a tremendous injustice to separate children from their family and deny them their own history and culture. We proceeded with respect in this revelation.
Loess Hill Igor investigating the Loess Hills Loess Hills Blind Pictures of Stick structures Pictures
Just before reaching the Old mission we stopped to look at some structures, one that resembled a blind built in a v shape on the ground facing the road below. (I had found this back in 2016) when the road had been cleared by a plow. It appears to be a lookout point that had a trial beneath it on the opposite side as a hidden escape route. The game trail would allow easy access along the ridgeline hidden from view form the opposite road. The trail dropped off into a steep decline that the Ci’tonga seems to prefer as an escape to detection. Igor investigated another structure with a series of stick branches piled up in a way that was purposeful and entwined. Barry did some whoops before we left to the Old mission. See link
Igor Old Mission Video form the sight Old Mission Pictures of Tree Structures
At the Old mission a large tree arch rose up behind the Stone marker to indicate the presence of Ci’tonga in this sacred place. Barry mentioned that the Ci’tonga is guardians of this sacred land now. I did three tree knocks to acknowledge our presence. I believe it is important to do tree knocks to ask permission when entering their woods. Just as we ring the doorbell to visit our neighbor. A respectful approach that warranted a return knock in our acceptance. See my link to the wood knocks and the return knock from the Ci’tonga. Barry then spoke to the Ci’tonga and introduced myself and Igor, he said that we will return tonight and asked that they come and visit us then. Igor seemed pleased with the introduction and we took a lunch break in town.
Tree Knock Return tree knock of Ci'tonga video
We then took my tent to set up a NOX OPX a (overnight remote camp) at a location called Hard Knocks, Derek's land, Barry’s brother who gave us permission to camp there. This is where last year in August; a group of us had four wood knocks around our camp. They were so loud they drove us out of our tents for fear of injury. (Maybe have a tree pushed down or worse) at 4 AM. I titled the recording of the wood knocks “Camp Hard Knocks” and the name is now symbolic for this location. The intent was to have the ladies set up their tent too, so that when we return later that night around three AM we can just get in the tents and let the Ci’tonga approach us. Unfortunately, our timing was off and the ladies were out of communication to join us for the reconnaissance. The day was getting away from us and we had a meet and greet at 5pm, so we headed out to eat and get things set up for the meet and greet.
Meet and Greet Audio from the Big Elk meeting with Igor.
At Big Elk park Igor was presented an Omaha Blanket, Buffalo Necklace and a Rez Squatching hoodie. He was pleased with his gifts and said that he felt good energy here. A Sioux City news station interviewed him and he answered questions from the audience. Igor told a story that took place in Russia, about a woman who had been in her garden and noticed something was behind her. She turned to look and it was a Leshy, the “Russian Snowman”. She watched as it began to disappear in front of her. It was like a curtain came down gradually disappearing until only its leg was present then that too vanished. I was inspired by Igor for telling about this phenomenon that many researchers do not discuss. I didn't know it at the time but his story would fore shadow what was to come on our night greeting with Ci’tonga. Igor is compelled to share information without a concern of what others think. To me, he is the world's foremost expert on this Homin and I am grateful to have spent these past days with him. An amazing lifetime of contributions to Hominology! He gave me an International Hominology T-shirt and the Book “In the Foot Steps of the Russian Snowman” by Dmitri Bayanov. I was honored by his gifts. I gave him a Nebraska University Football flag and a signed copy of my book. Gifting is a tradition of the Omaha and it is valued by myself also. Elvie and Dennis had joined us as we concluded the Meet and Greet, so we returned to the cabins to discuss the plans for the Night Operations and have some dinner with Linda Jo, Angel, Sierra, Selena and Delshay.
Gift presentation to Igor at Big Elk Video
At dinner we shared stories and Delshay who is a tribal law enforcement officer and Veteran Sniper of the Army shared his recent encounter. He had went to a home where they had called him about Ci’tonga bother them, hitting their house and scaring the dogs. As he sat in his patrol car, he had a sense he was not alone, his window was rolled down and he could hear an immense sound of footfalls approaching him. It passed by his window and froze him in fear. I could tell he had an emotional attachment to his experience because he still struggled with explaining what had happened. Although he did not see anything he knew it was there. The fear of the unknown had a grip on him and I knew this fear too. Ci’tonga can move without being seen! We rested after the stories to prepare for the Night Operation. We intended to go back to the Old Mission and greet Ci’tonga. Then by three am stay at Camp Hard Knocks, do some gifting and the remainder of the evening wait for them to come to us.
We left Big Elk Park around 1 AM on 9/11/18 in convoy to the old Mission. Barry, Igor and I took my Jeep. Elvie and Dennis followed in their vehicle and Linda Jo, Angel and Sierra completed our group. As we entered the two track to the old mission, it was very dark and the grass was as tall as my bumper that we traversed through. It was evident that there had been very little travel back into this timber. A possum ran out in front of my Jeep and it scurried through the tall grass and darted in and out of the track way. We crossed over a grassy hill and then were led down a winding two track into the timber of the loess hills. Barry began to sing a song in the Omaha Language that he asked Igor to sing with him. It translated that” Ci’tonga we love you and we come to see you”. He chanted this over and over again as Igor learned the phrase rhythm. Barry suddenly yelled I see eye glow in the timber. I stopped and he jumped out. By the time we gathered our gear they had left. Barry said that they are here watching us. We drove farther down the two track until we reached the Old Mission.
It was after 1 am now that we reached the Old mission. We all gathered together as we slowly walked up from the road to the marker of the Old mission. It was pitch black with the sound of insects and a wood knock announcing our arrival. Igor had the night vision monocular that Barry had borrowed from his cousin Delshay. It was military grade at 4 thousand dollars and gave Igor a visual perspective that illuminated the surroundings. Barry was next to me, I stood to his left and Elvie was at his right behind him, Linda Jo, Angel, Sierra in the middle and Dennis stood in the back. Igor moved around looking through the Monocular to my left and behind us. Barry addressed Ci’tonga in the Omaha language; he and Igor sang the song they had practiced. “We love you; we want to meet you Ci’tonga”. I looked to my left as my eyes began to adjust to the darkness and watched a blue light filter through the trees from about 100 yards away toward us. I had never seen this before and watched in silence as Barry addressed Ci’tonga. I mentioned this to Barry later and he said that he had seen it before, described it more purple but he believed it happens when they cloak.
Barry became focused out in front of him and asked if anyone could see something approaching. He stated that it is a black figure and it is right in front of him. I looked ahead but could not focus on anything but the darkness. Barry raised his hand high above his head and said it is this tall. I thought it was a spirit but when he had me look up I could see a translucent outline of a massive figure! It was right in front of us; Barry said that it is reaching out to touch him. I assured him I was right there with him. I struggled to realize what I was seeing. I thought maybe something was on my glasses. (I later described it to Barry as a resemblance to the Predator movie cloaking. Barry said yes, that is what it was!) Elvie then began to say he saw some in front of him as he yells that “I can't feel my legs” I put my hand on his shoulder as I had just done with Barry and he then said he is OK. Barry asks the Ci’tonga to speak to us. I also introduce all of us by name and ask for a response. The dark figure just stood there still. Barry yells to Igor do you see anything? Igor said no, he was setting on the bumper of the vehicle parked behind us. Dennis told me later that something black moved between him and Igor while we were looking at the one in front of us. Barry told the Ci’tonga that if you have nothing to say to us we will leave. Barry became weary as the dark figure had reached out to him; he sucked his stomach in to avoid contact. Later when we discussed this, I mentioned to Barry that he had always said he would shake their hand perhaps that is what Ci’tonga had tried to do? We gathered around Igor as he sat on the bumper and he seemed tired. I asked him if he was OK, and he said he is happy, I feel energized, and there is good energy here! I was relieved that he was alright; I mentioned to him that some people feel sick when having these encounters. I believed he already knew this but wanted to check with him anyway. We all got back into our vehicles and convoyed out of the timber back to Ridge road where we had come in. I was elated that we had this close encounter but knew we had a long night ahead of us.
At Ridge road we all stood along the road side. Barry told a story about an old white man who sold fruit and vegetables here from his wagon and was killed. His wife came looking for him with a lantern and she was killed also. He said that the lantern lady can been seen here every night. I’m not a ghost hunter but the story was a part of the Omaha tradition so I looked down the road to see if the Lantern lady would show herself. I noticed the car lights that Dennis had said pass from the highway over the hill. I know light will play tricks on the mind as it is bending; moonlight is notorious for strange anomalies. Barry said to focus on one side of the road; this area was not affected by the car lights, but offered other phenomena, “Lantern Lady”! I could see an image that seemed to float illuminating in white was it her? I was perplexed but in agreement something manifested itself 75 yards away. I focused on Igor again he was setting on my Jeep bumper and seemed tired. I asked him if he was OK, he said yes, why people are asking me this. I think something did happen to him back at the Old Mission but he is not giving me any indication he wants to talk about it. Igor mentions the stars are bright in the sky. I look up and agree that on the Omaha Reservation in these Loess Hills the stars are reminding us of our place in this vast galaxy!
We then gather up and convoy to Camp Hard knocks where we had set up a tent earlier in the day. It was Three am as we arrived. Our intentions were to have everyone set up a tent but that did not happen as planned and Dennis, Elvie, Linda Jo, Angel and Sierra sat in lawn chairs or on a blanket outside the lone tent. We have had a lot of activity having a remote camp in this location. This will be a little different not having everyone inside tents to draw them in close but it did not disappoint. We were in their home and they made that clear in their actions.
Barry and Igor went off into the timber singing the song they had song earlier. Dennis set up a camera next to him to try and capture a picture in low light. (No light under the tree canopy.) Linda Jo sat next to the tent and Sierra sat next to her with Angel at the end. Elvie sat on a blanket near Dennis. When Barry and Igor returned he said that he had seen some eye glow. Barry decided that we should get into the tent to encourage them to come closer. Igor had eaten a Mandarin orange that I had brought and must have left some of the peeling out in the timber. (Something interesting occurs with this) Igor and Elvie then were sharing some mushrooms and the ladies were watching for activity and listen to things going on back by our cars. It didn’t take long for things to start happening. Juveniles were making noise by the vehicles and Angel said that she could see something in the trees above us. Linda Jo began praying as she commented that they are all around us.
NOX OPX The link to Audio part one of the night operation with Igor.
A thud could be heard as Barry and I sat in the tent, Barry was trying to rest and I had been running an old Sony Night shot infra cam. I was filming the ladies and Igor when something was thrown at the location of an audio recorder that I had placed earlier just under the rain fly in the front of the tent. I believed that they were sending a message that they know about the technology we are using and are not happy that we are trying to record them. Ci’Tonga work at being undetected but once they know you know they are there they start to mess with you. Barry said that something was touching his knees through the tent. Linda Jo told Barry later that the top of our tent was being pushed down on. She didn’t say anything at the time because she thought we knew this and were just riding it out. Elvie had been singing and talking loud. He suddenly was hit on the forehead with something wet; it turned out to be orange peeling. Another message sent to us by the Ci’tonga. I laid back in the tent with my knees up and the tent flap open to the front listening for sounds.
Night Video Part one at camp Hard knocks (3:18 stick thrown at recorder, 34:39 on the infrared cam a stick is thrown at back of tent and Red eye glow seen from the road)
Linda Jo said that she saw red eye glow by the two track behind the tent. A loud thud then could be heard hit the back of the tent! Barry and I set up and the whole tent had shaken from what had struck it. It was obvious that we had drawn the attention of the adults and they were not happy with us. Linda Jo stated again that red eye glow was coming from the two track behind us. We settled back contemplating what had happened and believed something was thrown. Camp Hard knocks did not disappoint and the Ci’tonga was there ready to get a reaction out of us. Angel and Sierra said that a small one came down from the tree and came up next to Igor as he sat in the lawn chair. They asked Igor if he had heard anything and he said no. My hearing isn’t the best either but the ladies kept whispering and pointing that they hear them up in the trees. It seemed we were surrounded and our tent was in their living room.
NOX OPX II Part two of the Night Ops at Hard Knocks with Igor.
About 5 am Dennis and Elvie left to return to the cabin. Linda Jo had to move her SUV so I went with her so she didn’t have to walk alone. As I stood by myself, I felt uneasy and hit the lock of my Jeep to back anything off and to break my own fear of vulnerability. Linda Jo had brought fruit apples, melons, tomatoes and squash from her garden to gift to the Ci’tonga. I don’t recommend feeding them but this is a respectful way to ease our boundary issues we started by camping on their land. Linda Jo and Igor took the food and addressed the Ci’tonga as she threw the food down into the valley below us. They returned and a short while later Linda Jo, Angel and Sierra had to leave also. This is usually how it goes that the group gets smaller as the night goes on. We had Igor get into the tent with us. He had to void and was gone for a while so I called for him. I was concerned something would happen to him. I don’t recommend being alone in the woods. Igor climbed into the tent with us and he seemed elated of the gifting experience. Normally he said we make a fire and set there drinking hot tea. We purposefully didn’t make a fire because we wanted them to approach us and felt any light was a deterrent. Shortly after I zipped the tent up I had my knees pointed to the ceiling and my feet under them. Something rubbed the tent as if they had stuck their fingers straight out and brushed past touching my knees. I asked Igor if he had moved but knew that it came from outside the tent. I then rolled over and listened to try and hear anything. Being touched by Ci’tonga is an honor for me, this has happened to me twice before.
Night Video Part two the stick thrown at the tent
I heard some sticks breaking a few times but drifted off to sleep. When I listened to the recording I heard howls and coyotes yelping as they gathered. The Ci’tonga use the coyotes for hunting or companions but seem to interact with them. The Coyotes are very submissive to the Ci’tonga and can be heard getting excited as they gather. This occurred a few times the following hours and the sound of dogs barking was consistent through the night. The Ci’tonga must have accepted our gift and mostly left us alone the last several hours. I had left the mesh window open so they could see in or we could try and see them if they peeked but I never looked that way until twilight began. At around six am I peeked out the opening but saw nothing, just the sounds of insects and vehicles starting to run on the highway a few miles away. Igor woke up and I mentioned that it is as cold as Siberia! He said well in Siberia it is permafrost so we could not sleep on the ground there. I laughed and thought how surreal it has been to have Igor here with us.
Camp Hard Knocks The remote camp site pictures of camp and the stick thrown at the tent!
When the sun was almost up we got out of the tent and looked around. I took a picture of the stick that had been thrown at us in the back of the tent. It looked as though it was thrown at great force as it had left a mark and then slid down still standing up next to the tent. It was probably eight inches in length. We photographed some additional structures and took some selfies. Then we broke camp and headed back to the cabin to drop off Barry and get the rest of our supplies. We said our fare well to Elvie and Barry and Igor sold one more of his books to Selena before we left the Omaha Res.
On our way back to Lincoln we crossed the Elkhorn and Platte rivers. I explained to Igor how they all flow to the Missouri river to the west as he took pictures. He told me his first expedition was in 1965 with Jeanne Marie Koffmann (French Scientist) in the Caucasus region. They were transported by a tractor trailer and investigated hair braiding of horses by the Leshy (Russian Snowman). Igor told me that Marie would be 99 years old in October and is still alive in France. I was in awe of the experiences that we had and will have these memories for the rest of my life. It was an honor to have Dr. Igor Burtsev come to Nebraska. These are the detailed accounts as I have documented them.

With Bigfoot Odyssey 5/3/19-5/4/19
I arrived in Macy around 11 am and drove to Big Elk Park. No one had arrived yet expect some turkey hunters so I drove to Citonga Crossing an area that I named for all the activity that had occurred along the road. It is between N.Main road and the Big Elk entrance. I parked in the drive way of an old abandoned property. I could see across the street a structure with an arch held down. I took some video at that location and decided that would be a good place to put a Homin hair sticky station. It was a beautiful day a little windy but the green color of the budding leaves on the trees and the grass made a welcome sight from the long winter.
I went to lunch and returned to Big Elk to find Dennis and Barry there. Kerry Arnold and his wife Linda had just arrived then too. I greeted everyone and we discussed plans for the afternoon. Barry and I had to go into town so we stopped to look at the Citonga Crossing so I could show him the structure and tell him about my plan to put a Sticky station near a structure. As we talked a car approached and it was Lou and John who were joining us for the expedition. Brian met us at big elk a short time later so everyone was present and we could get started.
Kerry wanted to video the POW wow dance in Winnebago so we drove there and got permission to film. It was a thrill to see the costumes and dances to the sound of the drum. When we returned Barry, Kerry Linda and I went to the Citonga crossing to place a sticky station on a tree. I had bought some LARD and packaging tape and I wanted to slather the LARD around a tree near a structure. Then put the sticky side out of the tape around the tree to catch any homin hair that I could send to be analyzed. We walked into the timber about 75 yards and heard someone call out “HEY” we were all surprised to hear this and looked at each other in bewilderment.
Kerry contacted me when he reviewed the audio and found an anomalous message just as we were applying the LARD and the sticky tape. Barry had to look up the meaning of the words spoken in the Omaha language and they referred to Lanolin (Grease) and Loosing hair. Incredibly matching the very process we were engaged in. The EVP recording maybe a Native American spirit or is it the Citonga communicating below our threshold of hearing? We had some additional wood knocks as Linda had walked around timber near us. I commented that they were communicating to each other as Linda had changed positions. Barry spoke about mind speak and having a feeling when they are communicating with him. The paranormal aspect of Citonga research was always just below the surface of any hard evidence we uncover.
We gathered back at Big Elk Park and went to Dinner at Blackbird bend casino on the Iowa side of the Missouri river. I spoke to Barry about a gift I had for him. I had brought with me a walking staff carved from a tree branch that my uncle had given me in 2017. He sent me two he had made and one was a Bigfoot walking stick that had Bigfoot on it and a foot for a top. I hiked the spirit mound near vermillion South Dakota with it as a pilgrimage to visit my first home as a child in Centerville S.D. The Spirit mound is known for its plateau above the prairie where Lewis and Clark had stood. The Omaha ancestors had told Lewis and Clark about the little people who lived in the mound and that it is a sacred place. I had taken a piece of the Chalk from the plateau after saying a prayer to God to bless us on our research.
The staff I had for Barry I had named the cloaking Citonga staff. It symbolized to me the duality of the Citonga and its paranormal aspects of cloaking. The two staffs were one being with separate realities that many long time researchers have encountered. Barry would share his story of the cloaking Citonga we encountered that night last year with a group of people including Dr. Igor Burtsev. It was no coincidence that Igor had told a story that day about cloaking and a woman in Russia who described it happening right in front of her in her garden. This is the quantum entanglement that I often allude to that seems to envelope my life. I shared my experience with the group at Dinner and presented the Cloaking Citonga staff and the piece of chalk from the spirit mound to Barry. We had shared some remarkable experiences and I thought that the staff and piece of the spirit mound needed to be with Barry on the Omaha Reservation. The magnetic ley lines that connect Lincoln and Macy are now bond with the two staffs that Barry and I now share as one Citonga.
We came back to Big Elk after dinner and Kerry filmed on us the porch of the cabin telling stories of our experiences. I shared the encounter we had in 2017 at Big Elk when I photographed a huge hand print on the hood of a car. We had a bon fire that night between the cabins and a car alarm went off near the timber to the North of Big Elk. We all went to the vehicle and put our flashlights on the hood to our amazement two hand prints were found. One had the palm and thick fingers visible. The fingers were as wide as twinkies on the hood. The other print was just the tips of the fingers in contrast. Other stories were shared on the porch and afterward the rain prevented us from having a planned bonfire. Kerry and Linda retired for the night and the rest of the team prepared for a Night operation.
We set off on our night operation around midnight and went to the Citonga Crossing site. Unfortunately we had eight vehicles of people who joined us and it became evident it was too lare of a group. We parked along the road but Barry became concerned that traffic would be an issue and we decided to go west of town. We all drove to a place that was near Linda Jo’s family home. We parked near a ravine that was flanked on either side of the road by timber. The road dropped off steeply down to the tree line below. It was an eerie feeling as we all stood at the road. The side behind us was full of noise of insects and the croaking of frogs. Directly in front of us though was dead silence. There was a distinct contrast between the two sides of this road. Barry addressed the Citonga and he had John speak also. We noticed a flicker of light and eye glow down in the tree line. It was as if it was a response but the large group we had seemed to deter anything further. It became clear that to have any real interaction we would need to split up the group. We gathered back in our vehicles and decided to go to the Winnebago land.
This time only a few vehicles joined us to the Winnebago site. It was some old growth forest that engulfed us as we drove deeper into the timber. We reached a location that Barry had marked along the side of the road and stopped to all get out. Owl sounds could be heard and immediately eye glow was noted peaking around trees. I had the feeling that few people came this far at night in these woods. Barry had said that no one is getting back here in this timber at night. I always enjoy getting into new timber. We stood along the road and Barry addressed the Citonga. Again more owl sounds across the road from us and deeper in the timber. The periodic eye glow seemed to reflect a peeking strategy. We tried to get an interaction and tossed some crackers into the woods but the Citonga were staying back in the timber.
Around 2 am we decided to head to Camp Hard knocks to finish off our night operation. When we arrived we walked back to where the tents were. Earlier in the day, John and Lou set up tents. As we adjusted our eyes to the dark bright eye glow could be seen casting light about 150 yards away. This was the real deal very illuminated eye glow. At least four maybe five Citonga were observing us. Amber colored and one was red at times. The casting of light as they looked around was amazing to see. Almost as if someone had LED lights on. Brian commented that this was the best eye glow he had seen. I was proud of the Omaha Res Squatching research! To get to share this experience with us is rewarding from all our years of doing this on our own. We peered for about a half hour adjusting our position to see through the trees that separated us from them. They did not move any closer but seemed interested enough to hang back and watch us from a distance. The ridgeline dropped off a bit from where we were to the Citonga stood. We knew they were tall to still see their eye glow. It was late and time to call it a night as we had interviews tomorrow. We joked with John and Lou about how the citonga will move in on you when we leave. We saw a series of seven crosses near the tent site that day and asked D about it. He said he had used this area for a haunted forest and had a black light shine on the crosses with two clowns hiding to jump out at people. I my mind I now understood why the citonga had stayed back away from us. I believe that camp hard knocks would not be the same with this intrusion.
Barry and I finally got back to camp around 4 am and decided to just let Lou and John have their own experience at Camp Hard knocks. We tried to turn on our radio so if they needed help but the communication was lost. We hoped they would be OK and knew they had enough experience to get out of there if things got to rough. They parked there car near the tents to do just that. D commented that the Citonga will push the trees down onto the road if you park on the road so he wanted people to walk in. The night had many mysteries to unfold depending on where you ventured on the Rez!
The next morning Saturday, Barry and I went up to Hard Knocks with Kerry and Linda to shoot some footage around there and interview John and Lou about their night. John had tried to photograph some of the Citonga that had come in near the tree line around camp. He said he had seen eye glow also down in the valley. Lou said that he had some stomping and he could see a long snout with ears push into the side of his tent just at sunrise. We all were thinking dog man but he said that when he looked out he saw wo ponies about 4 feet from his tent. This came with laughter from all of us. Kerry shot video of his story and it gave us some comic relief! I checked the sticky hair station I had set up and saw no hair. I explained to Kerry what we had seen that night back in the timber. The difference between eye glow and eye shine. The bioluminescence was obvious with the contrast to the darkness that it had been.
When we returned to camp we all did interviews with Kerry. I gave my history from my early fascination with Bigfoot in the 70’s. I still have newspaper clippings from Eagle, South Dakota my Grandmother had sent me. Fast forward to the BFRO expeditions I had participated in and my connection with Rez Squatching. I shared my experience the night we encountered the cloaking Citonga with Igor in 2018. I had audio recording of that experience so we can corroborate the story. It was a surreal experience for me. The Cloaking Citonga staff I gave Barry had cemented the experience with us both. We ate lunch as the others continue interviews. I had to head back to Lincoln and I gave my farewells to the whole team. This journey has had many unexpected connections to Citonga that have been set in motion over forty years ago for me.
I give my praise to Jesus Christ our father for the blessings and protection I have experienced!
