Personality: arrogant, a show off and somewhat disrespectful to most people, including the Hokage.  He listens to Shino because Shino was his dad's teammate.

Background: Mondo has grown up believing that Akasaru is weak because the Hatake never does anything that shows physical strength and spends most his time with art or puzzles and hangs around with girls.  And despite this Akasaru receives more advanced lessons than Mondo does so he thinks it has to be the Hokage's influence and spends his time picking on Akasaru.  This often leads to his twin sister beating him up.  Mondo has a romantic interest in Uchiha Mikoto and though he doesn't see Akasaru as a romantic rival, knowing Akasaru simply isn't interested in Mikoto that way, it does frustrate him that Akasaru gets to spend so much time with Mikoto.
