Personality: Akasaru likes to mess around with pranks.  He's protective of his friends, but secretive with his strength, so he generally uses words instead of fists.  He's a strategist.  His father is his hero and he wants to be as good as Kakashi one day.  He's gotten into a habit of running late, though for different reasons to his father.

Background: Kakashi and Sasuke came to an agreement, before their children were born, that both kids would be both their problem and as such they'd both take responsibility for their own and each other's offspring.  As a result, Akasaru and Mikoto have been friends ever since they were babies and now simply walk into each other's house without a second thought.  They also call each other's parents their aunt and uncle.

When he was five years old; Akasaru was attacked by giant hornets and almost died from it.  Konohagakure's medical personnel were able to save his life, but Akasaru's eyesight was left permanently damaged and he developed an allergy to bee, wasp and hornet stings.  The damage to his eyesight affects him at night, preventing him from picking out details as clearly and also stops him seeing further than ten feet in front of him.

In addition to being raised by both sets of parents, the pair are also taught by both.  Kakashi has forbidden Akasaru from ever attempting to copy the Chidori/Raikiri because it's an incomplete Jutsu which can only be used safely when combined with the Sharingan.  To make up for not allowing Akasaru to try this skill, Kakashi began to teach him to use the Rasengan.

When naming his son; Kakashi hadn't wanted his first name to be Sakumo because there'd be enough pressure on the child for carrying his clan name.  Obito was also off the list because of the Uchiha's descent into darkness.  With the baby having a red birthmark on his chest and Kakashi's prediction of his little one growing up to be a monkey; Shizune suggested the name Akasaru, meaning red monkey, which Kakashi immediately approved of whole-heartedly.  Shizune often nicknames him Aka-chan, much to Akasaru's annoyance.
