Senior Night

It has been a Nisky Varsity Soccer tradition for many years as a way to honor our seniors. It is typically held at one of the last evening home games.

2017 Senior Night will be Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 6:30pm when the team takes on Colonie at home under the lights.

Ceremony begins with introductions of Seniors & their Parents

Post game gathering for the team & their families at 9PM (or later if overtime required)

Location: NHS Football Field, Old Cafete

To make senior night a success takes coordination of many activities. To volunteer, please contact Marta Osizik

Tasks and Volunteers

1) Book Old Cafe for post-game celebration 6-10pm - Olga Tsakalakos

2) Desserts for post game celebration - Stefanie Harrison

3) Drinks (water, juice, soda) for 50 people - Kathryn Viggiani

4) Collect and compile Senior & Parent Introductions. review with Mr. Rickert (announcer) - Alex/Evan Schnell

5) Contact and Schedule JV parents to work in concession stand on game night - April Steenburgh

6) Coordinate presentation of Seniors & parents (need announcer helper, parent coordinator, senior coordinator) - Marta Ozisik

7) Create & publish Senior night program (include NHS and opponent rosters, acknowledgments). Distribute at game. (Sample programs attached) – Karen Chan/Alex Schnell

8) Create Senior Posters - Olga Tsakalakos, Aliza Mesbahi

9) Order & Pickup 6 ballons - 1 for for each senior - Red, Silver or White to hang with posters - Karla Duggal

10) Order & pickup 6 red roses with baby's breath, tied with a ribbon (1 each senior to present to mother) - Marta Ozisik

11) Order pizza (5 trays - cheese/pepperoni) for delivery at 8:45PM - HomeStyle will not charge tax for school function, mention it is for NHS soccer senior night - Laura Mirkovic

12) Paper Products (plates, plastic ware, napkins) and red plastic tablecloths - Karla Duggal
