International Experience
Hi everyone,
Here a quick update on the two Carosellas who are currently abroad: Vitas is thoroughly enjoying his soccer coaching course in Barcelona, and Mattias arrived in London this morning to begin his Master's studies there. They are excited about the opportunities that these programs offer, and my wife and I are excited for them. We've both lived abroad extensively and know first-hand the value of such experiences. We recommend them highly.
Our Niskayuna Soccer Program is picking up international experience as well. Last year, Alex Koudal spent a year in Denmark, going to a local school, learning Danish, visiting family and friends, and of course, playing soccer. And this year, Merjan Ozisik will be spending six months training at Fundacion Marcet in Barcelona, two during the fall semester (October and November) and four months during spring semester (January through the end of April). He'll be learning Spanish and playing soccer - and maybe even attending games at the Camp Nou (Barcelona's stadium).
If you know of anyone else embarking on an adventure, please let me know and I'll share it with everyone. Here's to enriching experiences and great soccer all over!

Many thanks in advance to Jeff Brinck and Seth Hanft for volunteering to represent our JV and Varsity teams, respectively. If anyone else is interested in helping out, please contact Jeff or Seth to coordinate with them.

We're looking for at least one volunteer each from the Varsity and JV team to attend the Booster Club meetings as our representatives. You could also work with someone to alternate attending the meetings.
Please let me know if you would like to help us out with this. Remember that the Booster Club has been very supportive of our program. Also, please consider becoming a member of the Booster Club. The cost is very reasonable, and your membership fees go to help out our athletic programs.
Thanks,
Coach Carosella

Attached are the rosters for the Varsity and JV Boys Soccer Teams. All of the players on both teams know that they are student-athletes, not athlete-students. They also know that they are ambassadors for both our school and our school soccer program, and that therefore we have high expectations for them: courteous, responsible and appropriate behavior at all times in and outside of school; and dedication to their academics.
Please support us during our season by letting us know if there is an issue with any member of our teams. We appreciate your help in advance.
