Soccer Parents-
I will give the message to the kids about a team picture in shirts and ties. I support this wholeheartedly.
Also, many of the players have been awarded the "Scholar Athlete" pin in past seasons. This is a very important award that recognizes kids for outstanding scholarship during a Varsity athletic season. I will be encouraging all of my players who have received this award to use the pin as a "tie tack." Please encourage your sons to do this when you see them at home and please encourage them to strive to attain this award THIS season! Every year that I have been a varsity coach the Boys Soccer team has attained the "Team Scholarship award" whcih means the collective team GPA has been above 90% every season. Of all of the things we have accomplished as a team this is what I am most proud of as a coach.
Boys who have earned multiple season Varsity Letter pins should include those on thier ties also. This will give recognition to those boys who have been outstanding on the soccer field for more than one season.
Thank you for your cooperation in this as it gives me the opportunity to recognize your sons for their hard work on the soccer field and in the classroom.
Sincerely,
Jeff Ormsbee

Nutrition- the boys need to hydrate and eat properly for best play. Lean meats/protein- fish is really good source. Boys must drink throughout the day to be properly hydrated- Water is best. Test for hydration- color of urine should be clear. Avoid gatorade, caffeinated drinks prior to games. they should eat as close to immediately after a game as possible. Google sports nutrition for more tips..
