Brachypterus yukikoae (Hisamatsu, 1976)

Parabrachypterus yukikoae Hisamatsu, 1976: 20. Type locality. Sungkang~Meifeng, Nantow Co., Taiwan.

【Diagnosis/特徴】 Length 2.0~2.8 mm. Body dark brown, with bronzy luster; eyes weakly convex; antennae long and slender, 1st segment shorter than 3rd, 4th and 5th subequal in shape and length, 9th as long as wide; scutellum pentagonal or subtriangular, very large, about two-fifths width of elytra at base, pointed apically.

【Bionomics/生態】 This species was commonly found on flowers of several kinds of forest-trees grown in highlands of central Taiwan (Hisamatsu, 1976).

【Distribution/分布】 Oriental Region: Taiwan.

【Notes/備考】 Type species of the genus Parabrachypterus Hisamatsu (= Brachypterus Kugelann).
