Seneca City Cemetery

The records of the Seneca City Cemetery are kept by the City Clerk's Office, Seneca, Kansas. This office has several sets of information regarding this cemetery including the original entry book, lot records, an alphabetical index and a newly created computerized index of the records. A copy of the index is also available at the Seneca Free Public LIbrary.

The alphabetical index contains the name of the individual, the location of the grave, date of death, date buried (if known), date born (if known) and age (if known). The computerized information may also include obituary information and is in alphabetical order by name.

Researchers should also check Find A Grave since most of the internments in the Seneca City Cemetery are listed on this free web site. Over a third of these entries have pictures of the headstones. If the entry does not have a picture of the headstone, users may use Find a Grave to submit a request that a picture be added
