Now that Federal funds are available for the building of Kampler dam, the Fish and Game commission will at once instruct its consulting engineer to collaborate with the state highway department in getting out the plans. That was the good news brought to Seneca Friday by B.N. Mullendore, attorney for the Fish and Game commission. The commission's engineer is Murray Wilson, Salina, who has acted in this capacity for all the important Kansas Lake developments. In the meantime Mr. Mullendore, representing the commission and Harry A. Lanning, acting for Nemaha County, will handle legal aspects of the situation involved in acquiring the right of way for the county and state.

Applications have already been made for a Civilian Conservation Corps camp of double strength, 400 men. In view of the rank of Kampler project as second in importance in the state for the year, it is felt no difficulties will be encountered in this respect. As soon as the Board of County Commissioners has definite assurance the labor of the project is guaranteed, it will take steps to acquire the land.

Mr. Wilson, the consulting engineer for the Commission, has already made a preliminary check of the plans though he is expected here in a few days to draw boundary lines of the park and secure additional information of the requirements for the dam.
