Support for Kampler Lake

Nemaha County Courier Tribune

The promise of state encouragement, which has been the thing, needed before calling a special election on the Kampler lake project secured this morning by a Nemaha county delegation, which visited Topeka. The state highway department prepared a written resolution, which said that the department will render the aid and assistance which it can give, with the use of federal funds secured by the state. The plan has been for the building of the lake with no more expense to the highway department than if it built a regular fill and bridge necessary to carry Highway 63 on its new routing. Nemaha County stands in line for a $150,000 improvement by paying only $30,000, for which the special election will be called.
