Why am I making this at Google? It's free for one thing. I can upload set ups and files and media, so far I find it clean and easy to use.

Basically I am a beginner to online road track racing despite racing online for almost a decade (mostly circle tracks). I plan to post my trials and tribulations on this site to help myself and possibly help others like myself that are struggling to improve as online race car drivers. Using free online tools to the best of my ability to record my findings, thoughts and ideas, good or bad, using youtube.com and livestream.com to document any progress I make threw use of video.

Warning: I do have a dry humor approach to things, not to mention at times can be skeptical.

Iracing (I think iracingworld.com is gone now) provides a blog to host video, thoughts and such but I don't plan to limit myself to just Iracing... there are many solid racing games online, live for speed, rfactor, and various Simbin titles, and I plan to expand to consoles a bit.

I will try to write with a cool tongue to appease who ever uses this site despite my writing skills and opinions. Generally my opinions are hard line, in real life I tend to tell it like it is and I believe in my own opinion and at my age I know enough to know generally I am correct or just won't make any opinion with out understanding the full facts.

Bulk of my experience being racing is circle track sim racing, I ran a league called rookieroadhouse for years and then racingroadhouse, life became to demanding and I was forced to close the league.

While I was looking forward to Iracing.com but I found it disappointing that they would hassle a community that had supported them for a decade. (after investing a lot of time and effort into iracing about 600$ or more I no longer race there and received a FULL refund. I went into it as a beta tester with open mind in 2008 and left in early 2010). ********* In 2014 Dave sent out offers to old members to try iracing out for one year for $25, Iracing is well worth that price even if i just practice. So I jumped at the offer. I spoke with Tony Gardner about some issues I had and then paid up. I really like what i have seen so far, a lot of great changes.*****

I left Iracing with a 4.0 A license in both Road and Oval, no where enough wins, I definitely had the speed to win in the indycar but almost every race would get wrecked by people that had no idea what aerodraft or aero push was.

So I left with 5 world top 10's in speed on 5 different tracks in the star Mazda and indy car. I felt glad to know I was up to speed enough to be listed in top 10 out of 25,000 people on the tracks I put effort into. (from what I understand several of those top 10 records still stand 3 years later).

Road side not so good but better then average in finishes but rarely fast enough in my own bracket. The only championship I did compete in I won. It was a battle of the slow pokes in indycar road series, LOL. It was 1st place in time trials for one season in the Indycar which included both road tracks and ovals. My acquaintance

Eric Crouch pushed me to compete in the season and it was fun and funny at the same time, Eric finished not far behind.

What I loved about Iracing is following :

- Great UI

- Excellent file management system

- Fantastic tracks

But to be honest not that much better then nascar 2003 tracks. I really do not believe that laser scanning is a needed cost with the satellite imaging we have now.

Never liked what 1st racing did to the pappy community with the strong-hand but was willing to over look that in search of good racing online. I understand why they did what they did but I think they could have taken a MUCH better approach rather then bite the hand that had been feeding it for years. Nascar papyrus games were carried by the community, not just the game.

In the last few years I have played many games other then race games because ..well the market has not been the best. But titles I really like are GTR Evo, race 07, race on, shift , and f1 2010, I still load up n2003 now and then but mostly play shooter and tank games..

With that said I open this site and welcome people with like minds to share information to help the slow drivers like myself become more faster and more competent therefor more competitive.

I hate bad customer service! I will be covering good and bad customer service in this blog site.

Racing Fan / Hobbist

My 1st racing experiences where with my father who would tune in the Indy five hundred on my grandpa's transistor radio, (i still have the radio its like 50 years old or more and still plays great!)

at night we would watch the tape delayed race on abc. During vacations we would stop at race tracks and walk on them before the age of 10. I walked on Indy, Daytona, Darlington, and Rockingham, Wilkesboro, Martinsville, Thompson Speedway, Walt Disney World Speedway, indy irp seemed so steeeeeep In the corners had a hard time climbing it.

I started gaming online in 1999 to play world war 2 online, I love history and loved the historic aspect of the game. Still play some war games like company of heroes and planetside.
