As we enter Week Three of the 2009 Season 4 Time Trial Championships the tables start to settle and we can see the challengers emerge.

This week we concentrate solely on the two new cars in iRacing, the Dallara IndyCar and Chevrolet Corvette.

The pace setter in the IndyCar Series is Richard Walker from England. Walker, a regular racer in the Legends League, has a slender three point lead from Benelux driver Rene Venderbosch. Italian Mauro Licciardello completes an all European line up in North America’s premier open wheel series! Licciardello is 18 points behind Walker.

Richard Walker: setting the Dallara IndyCar TT pace.

Walker has set the pace once more at Texas, although the North Americans are fighting back. Western Canadian Darcy Rutherford has posted an identical time (24.252) to Walker whilst just six thousandths back is US driver Junior Parks.

In Division Three, Jeff Antley (Carolina) has a slim five point lead from Benelux driver Francois Solbrig. Illinois driver Clayton Gilbert is third.

Another Benelux driver, Daniel Hams, is stamping his authority in the Corvette in the iRacing GT Championship Series. Hams leads Michael Skeen from Carolina by 29 points who is 31 points ahead of Australian Andrew Wauchope.

Like Walker, Hams is setting the pace this week leading Mike Edwards from Georgia and Ohio driver Wyatt Gooden, the latter proving he can handle a powerful rear wheel drive after his success in the front wheel drive Jetta TDi championship last season.

Division Six is certainly shaping up for a nice battle. Just 14 points separate the top six drivers. John Gegario from Texas heading Olivier Raunier (France), Michael Carr (Carolina), Byron Forbes (Australia), Marcus Caton (Georgia) and Midwest driver, Matt Orr. This should be an interesting division to watch.
