V.REC

To trigger voice recognition:

    • If you have enabled the Options\Behavioral\Notification setting, the V.REC button will be in the Android notification

    • Except for the screens that use the camera (ie: The HUD screens), pressing the : will bring up a menu with a V.REC button

Note: voice recognition requires an internet connection and will use your data plan if you're not connected to WiFi

The types of voice commands this program will recognize are as follows:

    • Mathematical equations

      • If you start a command with "what is" followed by a mathematical equation, it will answer with [the equation]=[the answer]

  • Timer

      • The command will be treated as a timer action if it contains any of these words: minute, second, hour, timer

      • By stating "make a timer for 3 minutes", the word timer will tell the system to check for a time, and start a timer (using the Timer (Functional) screen)

      • It will accept the time format in any combination of "number units" (ie: "3 minutes 4 hours", "5 hours 3 minutes", "2 seconds 4 and a half hours")

  • Reminder

      • The command will be treated as a reminder action if it contains the word: reminder

      • The command will create an item if it contains any of these words: add, make, create, me

        • ie: "remind me to get milk" will add "get milk" to the current list

      • If the command contains the word "list", anything after the word will be treated as the list name

        • ie: "add reminder get milk to list groceries" will add "get milk" to the "groceries" list

      • The command will delete an item if it contains any of these words: delete, erase, clear, remove, finish, complete

        • ie: "delete reminder 1" will delete the first reminder from the current list

        • ie: "delete reminder get milk from list groceries" will delete "get milk" from the "groceries" list

        • ie: "delete every reminder" will delete all the reminders from the current list

      • The command will load a list if it contains any of these words: open, load, select

    • Delayed/Stored command

      • If you start a command with "on my mark" or "prepare to", the command will be stored

      • If your command is "mark" or "now", it will execute the stored command
