Newark & Sherwood PCN's Local Design Team

During the 10 months leading up to end-February 2024, I took part in the work of the Newark Primary Care Network (PCN) Local Design Team (LDT), and resigned when my proposition that the LDT should adopt a position on the proposed changes to the operation of Newark Hospital's Urgent Treatment Centre was rejected.

The collection of documents below includes some of those I prepared for the LDT, as  well as the very informative Health & Care Profiles for the Newark and the Sherwood PCNs provided by the Nottinghamshire Insight service.

I'm really not clear how, given the very non-standard way their boundaries are defined,  the Health & Care Profiles' statistics are able to be definitive - using Excel Power Pivot DAX measures on Census 2021 and IMD 2019 data I've been exploring what it's possible to glean from publicly available sources at a sufficiently granular level for it to be of interest/value at GP practice level. The problem is I don't yet fully trust the results - hence the 'Provisional' label.

Here below, the highly detailed and informative Health & Care Profiles for the Newark and the Sherwood PCNs .. a really valuable resource to start from.
